[His eyes narrow ever so slightly once he hears this familiar word. Maketh told him little about the mythical Force. Very little. However, she told Regis just enough to make this old king worry about this announcement here. That's why Regis eyes this message with such wariness.]

Your talents might've been pushed towards the wayside but I doubt they could go to waste.

Indeed. [He tilts his head, meeting the wariness with faint interest.] As long as I'm not using them, my time here is being wasted.

[Shrugging a shoulder, he summons an apple into his hand and takes a bite.]

[Telekinesis? The old king arches his brow some. So the Force is indeed likened to 'magic' to some degree. This earns his intrigue.]

You sound quite similar to myself but the Force is foreign to me.

[So says the elderly man who just illustrates his point by forming a small budding flame within his right hand. The flame sways a little until its fiery embers suddenly become frost. The translucent ice is almost likened to glass minus the faint blue tint. The ice suddenly shatters and fades away into shimmering white ash.]

With as many perils lurking within this realm; I honestly haven't felt bored.

[Something similar, yes. Anakin uses the Force to call or summon the apple to him. He could do the same with a ship or a building if the need struck him.]

The energy created by all living things shouldn't be that confusing. We call it the Force and that is the power we tap into as Jedi. [And Sith.]

Yours seems...elemental? [There is an odd, golden light in his eyes momentarily as he watches.] What else can you do?

So what's what you call yourselves? Jedi? Odd word.

[The young Jedi's curiosity makes him chuckle internally. Regis has come to learn that not many people seen actual magic before. In most cases, many believe magic to be nothing more than a myth until they meet him.]

Indeed. [He nods in confirmation as he picks up his black mug.] The form of Arcane Arts I wield focus upon the four elements. However, I am not limited to just those four---

[Regis trails off some as he conjures his next spell. Just with the flick of his hand, a strange translucent dome-shaped barrier forms around the mug that seems as fragile as glass. It's oddly similar to his previous demonstration but this time the aura seems more silvery in hue. He taps the surface of it with his finger and it makes a faint tink sound. It's completely solid much like steel but looks more like glass. This odd barrier has a slight watery appearance that looks like the gentle ripples of a small pond.]

Magic is scarce in my world but some are blessed with it.

There are a lot of odd words. [A word is given a meaning and everyone agrees with it. Language itself is strange in that way.] I didn't know there were more than four elements.

[Earth, fire, air, water... But he's damn curious and he shifts, watching the magic build itself into a rather pleasing shape to behold.]

What I can do is...less visible than your magic. I can lift an object, no matter its size; I can touch and even kill someone without physically laying my hands on them; I can sense disruptions in the energy around me. Those disruptions serve as warnings.

It is very difficult to kill a Jedi because they can sense your next move.

Theocratically, there's more than just four elements. Lightning is one of the other elements that can be wielded through magic. [He explains quietly with the patience of an instructor.] Along with 'Light' and 'Darkness' both. There's many elements but humanity seem to limit itself to just the idea of four.

[Less visible? Regis arches his brow some. He has a vague idea of what the Jedi means by his explanation and it reminds him vaguely of the Ring of Lucii and its many abilities. However, this man needs not know of his family's heirloom. Noctis is the ring-bearer and Regis shall protect his son however he may through silence and secrecy.]

A force to be reckoned with no less. I would gratefully dislike to face against a Jedi.

The Jedi teach of Light and Dark amongst the Force. [He is associated more with the latter than the former now.] Lightning is powerful electricity and it seems, somewhat, connected to Fire.

[Since it can create flames.] I've never paid much attention to the elements. [Unless he's caught in a storm.]

You are wise to say so. Not all of them are as strong as I am, but each is instructed in battle from a young age.
