n i n e . ( locked text ) . you play your part. yeah, you hang on.
locked to clinic staff & suppliers:
( Honestly, she's probably said this to most of you already, whenever you drop by for shifts or to provide things. It'd be pretty hard not to notice the absence cast anyway, but it should be said regardless; )
Bruce is gone. Castiel too.
We continue working as usual. Any supplies can continue to be handed in as before. If you want to ask the gods about items, do so. They're our best resource.
( Which is self explanatory, because she's not tried to change anything since noticing their absences. But that's not the point. )
We need measures in place for further absences. Ensure we're not scrambling to fix things if someone else disappears. I want your thoughts on this. Suggestions and ideas.

( In other words, there's not much room for doubt as far as she can tell. )

is the shit i gave him still there

You know me to joke?
Yes.

you can keep everything else
im done.

So Kate seethes, in the clinic, for a long while.
She wishes she could be done with this, after all the shit that's gone on lately. Wishes she didn't need the occupation, the feeling of doing something to quiet the voices in her head that start up if she's left too idle. But she can't. )
Can't stop you, but you realise you're important to the running of this place, aye?
( And she wonders if Bruce would want him to leave as well. )

[He's not happy about it either- Ronan tends to lash out when he's upset, and he remembers Bruce's vaguely-fond exasperation whenever he went on one of his tirades, and it just hurts.
He's not Kate's number one fan- he's not super fond of anyone who works there anymore, save for Adam. So why should he help?
It's the right thing to do, probably. It's dangerous sometimes, but when the alternative is letting people get hurt and not be able to get proper medical care... well, he doesn't know. It sucks. All of it sucks.]
fine. a vacation then.
i cant keep doing this shit at this rate. not when im pissed.

( With Hakkai, and then Cas, and now Bruce disappearing, the clinic's feeling smaller and sadder. Each of them had meant something to Kate, but Bruce's disappearance somehow hits nerves she didn't expect, and it's not just the stress of the dwindling staff, but the fact that he was always there. Always better at handling things, a soothing presence that ran this place.
It's strange, how she can have spent so long training for this sort of thing and feel so wholly unprepared and unqualified right now, working off mentally prepared scripts and what's most practical. )
Alright. Can agree to that.
( Even if part of the reason she's agreeing is because she's too tired to argue with him right now, too drained by this to fight, and the rest is because - well, she knows what it's like to feel like you can't leave something you want to, and how that just leads to sloppy work and resentment. )

[He does come by later, to take Bruce's music box. The rest of the supplies he leaves, along with a final delivery of what he'd made before hearing about Bruce's departure. Ronan doesn't say much- he's too angry, he knows he'd just fight if he did- but he offers Kate a nod as he leaves.
That's about as good as it'll get when he's in a bad mood.]

( That would be easier if there were such a thing as a calendar, but that dream will likely remain unfulfilled with all the people who've disappeared. )

I can talk to people about the classes, too. The more who have some basic knowledge, the better.

Good.
Think we should add a "medics wanted" sign to the directions?
( It's beginning to seem like a better idea than posting to the network constantly or hoping to stumble across one in the newest intake cycle. )

[He still wants to help, he's just not sure if he can safely do so. Kate, you're the boss here, tell him what to do.]

( They're that low on staff, Russia, bb. )

[Yay! He likes helping people. It makes them more likely to want to be your friends.]
What safety measures do you already have?

( In other words, she'll have Faith take over if you're too rusty. )

Not much. Try not to get too attached to any one person. The first aid classes we've run helping other people know what they're doing.
