002 [Video] Backdated to March 17th
[Ikaruga appears on the network with a serene look on her face. She's currently polishing her sword tidily in her lap, keeping it shiny and well-maintained.]
Good evening, fellow residents of Hadriel. There is a certain peace of mind that comes from being capable of defending oneself. Exercise is an excellent way to stay healthy as well.
[She continues polishing the sword at an unhurried, deliberate pace before looking up again.]
That being said, I have decided to offer lessons in the art of the sword. I am also willing to be a sparring partner to those who already have training. If anyone is interested, kindly reply here or send me a private message.

I propose a friendly competition. Whomever makes the most people from other teams feel tranquil will receive a home cooked meal from me.

She's fairly easy to spot so Chara approaches calmly.]
Greetings. You are Ikaruga, correct?
[Action]
[A very formal child, she notes, but formality is something Ikaruga appreciates in others. She hands over the sheathed & blunted sword.]
Here. It's not very sharp, but the weapon is well balanced and a good weight for training with.
[In other words, light enough that they'll be able to perform all the techniques she demonstrates without strain, but there's still enough weight to the blade that there will be some muscle exhaustion after practicing for a while.]
My training will also include homework. I will always explain how it relates to combat, but it will be there. Are you prepared for that?
[Action]
[It is light and while the sword is longer than what they're used to, Chara won't complain about it. As long as it got them somewhere. They pull the blade out to examine it but they'll take her word about the sharpness. No point in testing that out.
It's also interesting that this will include homework. Chara never found their schoolwork that stimulating when they were alive but was something they did dutifully because....well, because it was the safer option.]
I am. Will it be written work or physical practices?
[Action]
[Her fighting style does involve extremely precise strikes, so observational skills actually are pretty important. For now, she's just giving examples of things she might give them to do. Besides, in a place like this, a child could benefit from a little bit of structure.]
[Action]
That sounds perfect and I will tell you if there is something I am not physically capable of. [Events aside, there were some things that Chara didn't do for various reasons.] Does that work?
[Action]
[Their lessons are voluntary on both parts, so there's no need to push unduly.]
Let's start with the techniques suited to a shorter blade first, and then we will move into the very basics for a sword for today. I would like you to show me what you already know first.
