[Mewtwo is here to ruin everyone's fun: ]
The simplest way to prevent other teams from gaining points would be to avoid interacting with them until this 'contest' is over.
[That's not, of course, to say that he isn't planning his own mischief.]
Alternatively, if the goal of this competition is to empower the gods, would it not be best if we pooled our efforts and concentrated on spreading only one emotion? Dividing our efforts will not help us escape.

[In other words, though he has no desire to help their depraved captors, it's not like he's just going to... stop trying to inspire hope, nor is he about to let Rage or Sorrow have their way here. Plus, he imagines it will be useful to have one of the gods owing him a favor.]
As for dividing our efforts, well. It seems to be part of human nature. They'll always find a way to butt heads, even when larger threats loom. [He unfortunately knows this from abundant experience--experience that haven't changed no matter the world he's in.]

[Humans can sure be dumb, but he's met quite a few here that have proved to be remarkable exceptions from the rule. It's enough that the sharp edge of his misanthropy has started to dull throughout his time here, though he'll likely be forever wary of the species--the price of what he went through at their hands.]
That makes two of us. I was simply advising that you not get your hopes up in some grand unification for this event--humans always quarrel. As for me, I only wish to help those that I care about. [And if that happens to inspire the emotion he's been charged with, well... there's not much he can do about it. He's not here to be competitive, just to try and keep making a difference, as hard as that can be in a place like this.]
