I saw that Fear said our air supply will be refreshed. I don't know if that's true - I don't know if we can trust him - but I thought people ought to know anyway.

[Not that he necessarily believes anything any of the gods say, but - well. Who knows.]

Talking is a little less impersonal than text. It might help to hear a familiar voice, if any of your friends are buried. There also isn't much to do down here but panic, so if anyone wants to talk - I wouldn't mind.

[Adam groans, exaggerating it just a little for effect. He really doesn't need to exaggerate much.]

If you're going to sing, at least make it something that won't make my ears bleed. Otherwise I might accidentally shut my phone off.

[And with the type of music Ronan usually listens to, it pretty much narrows his entire repertoire down to christmas carols and irish ballads, and he's not certain that the latter actually counts.]

What about something else, then? [A pause, then he asks the actual question-] How're you holding up?

I'm okay.

[Which really only means that while he's talking to Ronan it's easier to swallow down his fear and panic, easier to keep from clawing at the ceiling of the coffin. But he knows he can't do this forever, knows he's actively slowing Ronan down.]

I should let you work, though.

Good. You're gonna keep being okay.

[There's not another option- not to Ronan. He can only imagine what it must be like for Adam down there, but he knows that Adam is strong, stronger than he gives himself credit for. Adam will survive this and Ronan will save him. That's all there is.

The conversation is making him slow down though, just to reposition the phone, make sure he's coming through, listen for Adam's voice. He hates to hang up, but if he can move faster, then he can find Adam faster. That's the most important part of all of this.]

[He manages to grasp onto some humor, just barely, a tiny bit of lightheartedness. He wants to give that to Ronan so that Ronan believes he really will be okay, that he can do what needs to be done without worrying about Adam's psyche the whole time.

The thought of Ronan worrying about something like that at all is incredible, but Adam knows it's true. It's clear enough just from how Ronan is speaking to him.]
