In the interest of having it completed some time this century, I'm taking over the project to create a guide document for new arrivals.
[And he's starting it from scratch, no thanks to Chris.]
If you can tear yourselves away from telling ghost stories long enough to reply, I'm interested to know what information you found most helpful when you first arrived, as well as what you would have liked to know sooner rather than later.

I also see you've been asked for a map. I painted one on a wall in the middle of the city, when Hope asked us to clean the place up. It was accurate at the time of painting, and so long as I have supplies left over I'll keep it that way.

That's a good idea. I'd need to talk to someone who has been here the longest and has a good memory, of course.
And yes, we do need a map. I wasn't aware you'd already made one. That's very helpful. We should probably be able to attach a photo file to the document, we'd just need to update it whenever you paint something new.

I know that Adam and Ronan have been here for a long time
So have I according to them, but on the topic of people with poor memories, I got sent home once and forgot ever being here at all. Which, if you weren’t aware, is a thing that can happen. It might be worth warning people – I’ve been keeping a journal ever since in case it happens again
And that’s a good idea, yes. I’ll send you a picture. Come to that, if you’re serious about keeping a guide up to date, I’ll send you a new one every time I add to it, will that work?

[It's an unsettling fact, to learn that there's potential memory loss involved.]
That would be very good. I intend to keep this guide updated as needed, so yes, new photos would be a smart addition as well.

All right. Well I'll send them across
[ An attachment will come with this message, focused on the main map. He'll have to remember to keep doing this. ]
Let me know when you have them. I know of a few others who returned without memories as well Though some have disappeared again. And it doesn't seem to be a hard and fast rule since I've also been home and returned with memories in tact. The original ones I lost have never returned There's no pattern to it that I can see

Got it. Thanks. This is a good addition.
[And the information about leaving and returning and the retention of memories is highly relevant to Mello's personal interests. If it's possible to leave but not remember where he's been, he might not return to his original timeline with the knowledge he's gathered here, and that would pose a number of problems - namely, how to arrange for Matt to make a clean getaway after helping him kidnap Takada.]
What's your name?

[ Even if the news he'd delivered hadn't all been good. Sorry about that. ]

Mello. I'll be in touch, Gansey.
