If you can tear yourselves away from telling ghost stories long enough to reply, I'm interested to know what information you found most helpful when you first arrived, as well as what you would have liked to know sooner rather than later.

A timeline of this place, so that we can keep track of what's happened to us and when. When I arrived the first thing I wanted was to get up to speed.

I also see you've been asked for a map. I painted one on a wall in the middle of the city, when Hope asked us to clean the place up. It was accurate at the time of painting, and so long as I have supplies left over I'll keep it that way.

That's a good idea. I'd need to talk to someone who has been here the longest and has a good memory, of course.

And yes, we do need a map. I wasn't aware you'd already made one. That's very helpful. We should probably be able to attach a photo file to the document, we'd just need to update it whenever you paint something new.

It's been nearly a year since people were first brought here. It's clear they're not going to stop, and people who show up here should be as well armed as they can be to face what they've been brought to. If no one else is willing to take the initiative, I guess I'll have to do it.

Things that new people seem to miss being told or ask about, besides the suggestions you've already gotten, are death not being permanent and the whole thing about events. Also that the gods can't just send us back home if they want, or at least that's what they say.

It's difficult to call any information initially obtained useful when all context was lacking and shock affected my ability to process the reality of my situation. A comprehensive guide is a very charitable contribution to future arrivals.

Shock is probably not an uncommon response to ending up here. Having an informational document should be not only useful but efficient - that is, you can refer back to it multiple times until the shock wears off.

[They're not especially charitable people, though; it's not what L does, and it's not a function that Mello and Near were created to fill. Mello hesitates for a moment, then switches to a direct audio channel instead.]
