Hellllooooo Hadriel!

[ So. Someone's cheery. One wouldn't think so what with the cave being restored to its 'former glory.' ]

Sure is a bummer that Tranquility's good times ended, huh? [ Understatement of the year. ] Fret not, however, for I have taken it upon myself to plan for Love's inevitable - and fashionably late - arrival!

[ Do you have a bad feeling yet? You should. ]

How, you ask? Well! Easy. I've started charting out the ships down here in the cave. What's a 'ship,' you ask? A ship is short for 'relationship'! This can be any kind, really, but the actual fun is in ones of the romantic sort. [ An oh so innocent bat of her eyelashes. ]

There's a couple obvious ones, there's those who have loved and lost, there's the hopeful buddings of new relationships, and of course we're always wondering who are deities are into.

[ No? Just her? Alright then. ]

You can find the list I've started attached and, please, add to it as you see fit! I'll make the changes accordingly. I'll even try to keep it up to date, so! If any changes happen after the fact - break-ups, make-ups, or unfortunate farewells - feel free to hit me up personally and let me know. This way, Love can be up to speed upon arrival.

Is there something wrong with "friendships"? I don't understand why you would find pleasure in one and not the other. Do friends mean nothing to you?

Nah, dude, friendships are awesome! Trust me, I enjoy the friends I have a ton. I think it's just more fun to gossip about who's, y'know, together.

[ A suspicious pause. ]

But why?

[ Hmm. How to explain? ]

Friendships occur very naturally, yeah? It's not a surprise when people are friends. Usually. But when people have a deeper, more meaningful connection and date or are intimate... It's a little more exciting to know about! So it's also a little more exciting to talk about. Especially in a place like this where, y'know, it can be hard sometimes finding 'fun' things to talk about.

[ Not to dampen the mood or anything. ]

At least, in my opinion it's fun. Some people don't really care either way and that's cool too!

[ Castiel considers the question very carefully, trying to work out what precisely is so fun about it. The concept of gossip eludes him almost completely. ]

Is it for your own sexual gratification?

[ sputters ]

Wha-? No! I just want people to, I'unno, be happy. This place sucks sometimes and any little bit of fun goes a long way.

So it is for...other people's sexual gratification?

[ He chews over that, for a moment. ]

I suppose I was happy, when Sam and Kate were together, but it was not sexual in nature.

[ ... Still no. But. He's getting closer! ]

It doesn't have to be sexual on your part, no! You can just enjoy or appreciate people being together.

It makes me happy to my friends be with people, too.

Two people together, can face what one person alone never can. It fills spaces that would otherwise only be filled with silence.

I have never known Sam to ever be happier than he was with Kate. And I have never been happier, either, than I am with Dean.

I mean he's just... manly? Gruff and tough. And both times I ran into him, he didn't seem the cheeriest fella' in the world either so. That's my nickname for him.

The fact that he is um..."gruff and tough" does not prevent him from being an affectionate or satisfactory lover.

In fact, I think were he any other way, it would make me uncomfortable. He is who he is.
