[Siths are the worst trolls. Anakin looks darkly pleased with himself, waiting for the chaotic reactions that will undoubtedly come. Ahsoka hasn't avoided him; she hasn't grown cowardly. He expects she will answer.

The animals here are weird. [And none of them seem to take to him. He rolls his shoulders and bites, somewhat aggressively, into a pear.] Every day I'm attacked by something.

[There is a yowling off-screen and Anakin glares in that direction.]

It's about having standards and maintaining an acceptable living space. [And he lives with two walking disasters, it's a full-time job sometimes.]

Not really. I have had to kill a few who decided to make it clear how much they didn't like me more than a few times.

There would be no point in killing something so small. [Shifting the camera, he shows Hux a slight grey cat with angry green eyes.]

You do better than Ben, that's true. [But neither can come near to what he considered orderly but he's accepted that.]

I suppose not. It doesn't seem to pose much of a threat. [Oh look at those angry eyes!]

That doesn't seem like a high bar. [Sorry, grandson, you make huge messes.]

Unless I stick my hand out. [Then he will lose the only one he has - unless he extends the artificial one. That one would hurt the cat, though, and Anakin isn't interested in doing that.]

It really isn't but I have high hopes that he'll learn not to leave clothes all over the room one day. [His life is suffering.]

Does he wear clothes in bed? Do you? [JUST WONDERING.]

Why would I want it? [He stands up and nudges the cat away with his foot. The grey male keeps following him.]

I assumed you were holding your hand out to it in order to catch it. Could you try moving it with the Force?

Why do you want to know this? And you should ask your grandson for details. [He knows he can't convince Anakin of the truth when things are as they are.]

I've never fed it. [Animals. He stalks onto one of the streets, drawing his hood over his face.] I could care less about his preferences or yours. They're not my concern. But it's strange how secretive you are about it.

Good, it will most likely wander off once it realizes it can't get anything from you.

I don't like sharing details of my private life so publically. [What little private life he had, at least.] You could have asked us this morning at breakfast.

It's thin. [He exhales, glancing back at the cat. In one swift motion, he lifts the fuzzy grey bundle into his arms and continues walking. Almost immediately the cat calms.]

You're too good at disappearing and it feels strange to question my grandson.

[Sigh.] I don't think we have anything that would be suitable for cat food.

Fish? Chicken? [He shrugs, petting over the cat's head idly.] I'll be there in a few minutes.

[He is soon opening the door and walking in, cat and all. The male grey gives a mighty meow.]

There are only so many places I could hide and the couch is comfortable. [He had nothing else to do really so had settled on the couch to work on his datapad with a cup of coffee beside him on the table.

He looked up at the cat when Anakin entered, raising his eyebrows.] I never thought you would be a cat person.

My thanks to the couch. [Anakin's tone is very dry as he lets the cat down.] I'm not. But he's thin.

[...strangely, that bothers him. He moves to the kitchen, finds something suitable for the cat and sets it in a bowl with another bowl for water. The grey male descends on food hungrily, mewing his thanks.]

Now... Where were we? [He walks to the couch and sits down on it, sprawling elegantly.] Oh yes - your bedroom attire or lack thereof.

[Hux frowned as he turned his datapad off, setting it aside before picking up his coffee, wishing that he had some brandy to add to it. He glanced at the cat wolfing down food before looking over at Anakin.]

We wear clothes, I wouldn't let him sleep naked in bed. [Because that was just dirty.] Why do you ask, by the way? You seem rather curious over that detail.

[He is too young not to smirk at the answer. He's damn near snickering, but he holds that back.]

I'm trying to figure you two out. Someone could sleep on the couch, you know.

I know.

[Hux gave Anakin a flat look. He was used to their nightly power struggles over the blankets and warm bed to keep his cold feet warm.]

But our arrangement works to our mutual benefit for now.

Mutual...benefit... [He sounds out the words, grimacing comically.] You'd think you would be happier in the mornings.
