Many of you seem to be unhappy.

We don't all necessarily want you to be happy, but acceptance and adaptation to your situation would be a start. The only question that remains is: how?

It is clear to us that your species resolves many issues through communication. Unfortunately, none of us understand the human psyche as clearly as others of your species, and so I leave it to you to communicate with and to help one another.

You may consider this post an open forum in which you can discuss what's been bothering you. In turn, I will conceal your identities, so that you may help one another without preconceived biases. If you'd like to reveal yourselves to one another, the option is there, but unnecessary.

Heal. Recover.

Why'd you get married in the first place?

The marriage was arranged by our families since we were very young. Our marriage was supposed to prevent war so I was willing to go through with it at the time.

Marriage is sacred and my marriage more so given its significance. If my husband were to find out about this one night, the man I was with could be executed.

but couldn't you just, i don't know, tell your husband that both of you can do whatever with whoever?

It would be treason for me to take a lover, especially when there is a need for an heir

But he is allowed to take another lover, it's common for a man in his position to do so.

I'm in love with the wrong person too, someone who's married. So in a sense, I understand some of what you're going through.

It was the one night I gave myself to be happy. A memory to sustain me so I don't regret that even if I broke my marriage vows.

I don't believe in marriage, so maybe I'm biased but

I think your happiness matters to.
Even if it meant breaking your 'marriage vows,' which are kind of restricting and silly anyway in my opinion

All my life I was taught that marriage was sacred, that none but God could undo it. And that my marriage was not just for myself so happiness was a selfish desire.

But I am starting to feel the same way, I want to be happy. Part of me feels like a bad wife for saying this but I don't miss my husband here and I want to be free, even if just for a little while.
