004 | Video | Whenever restrictions on Silent Hill are lifted

[ This feels a little too similar to the post she'd made so many months ago, asking people not to enter the gods' temples as she tried to wreck havoc on the city and upon them, but now her reason is different and it feels wrong. The last thing she wants to really do is help most of the gods—the majority of them could die and she would celebrate with a wicked grin and a glass of whiskey—but not helping them out right now would also result in her own death, along with those she actually cares about.

The video that comes to life shows off one Sharon da Silva, dark circles beneath her eyes, and dark bruising visible along her brow bone, hidden only partially by bleached bangs. Her expression is tight and serious. ]

Hey, Sharon da Silva, Heather Mason, whatever the fuck you want to call me here. I know shit is kind of getting shittier but I'm going to need those of you not heading into the caves to blow shit to smithereens to start wandering and looking for foggy areas to sit your asses in. I'd recommend you take a weapon with you because it's not going to be a walk in the park. In fact, I suggest you learn to use the flashlight on your phone because once the fog goes away and the siren sounds, it gets dark as fuck and then you can't leave.

There are monsters in the fog, in the darkness, and they're not just something you're hallucinating. In fact, they likely exist because you did something horrible in your life and deserve a moment of suffering. But, that's not what this is about: you saw Fear's post and you know that if he doesn't get enough of his particular emotion, we're all probably toast.

So, go do your civic duty. Be glad I'm doing mine.

i want to be pissed off at you for this, but it's actually a good idea

[Because if Emily thinks about it, Sharon's right. Fear's the only one who can save them now, and he needs power to do that. With Hope here, people will be revived if the fog monsters kill them. It's... grimly efficient. And it's eliciting both hope and fear in Em at the moment.

Shit, in a pinch, she can help too. She has Fear's blessing.

Maybe they're not half as defenseless as the gods think they are.]

So... same thing as before, but this time it's not a competition.

[It's almost as if Fear was preparing them for something. Maybe the two events are connected, maybe not, but it's enough to make a person wonder.]

[Marian doesn't exactly swear often, but this is one of those times. Actually ask her to go into the darkness? Monsters that probably exist because 'you did something horrible'? It's bad enough as it is.]

Going in the caves so I cannot help too much with it, I will generate way more fear standing near explosions than monsters of any kind, but... thanks to whoever will try his or her best in the Mist.

...Good luck in the caves, though. You see any of our so-called enemies, send me a pic before or after they're killed. [ She wants to see what they look like. ]

I am not trying to take anything away from the horrors that you guys may face in the Mist, Sharon, I'm simply thanking you all for facing it. [Oh, come on, relax, your monsters are super scary, ok? Then again Rydia has neer faced the Mist so as far as she knows it's just monsters.] Still, believe me when I say explosions and the eventual fire will suffice in scaring me enough...

The whole point is collapsing the caves before they find us, if they do reach us we're dead so... hopefully I won't to be able to fulfill your request. Still, I will try to take pictures of everything strange I encounter.

Stay safe. [ Or try. Or whatever. Shut up. She's not worried about people or anything. ]

Honestly, I believe the gods overestimate their enemies and underestimate us. [ Though, she knows that whatever can destroy the gods must be powerful, but perhaps not individual ones, whatever these things are. Perhaps they can be taken out one by one, with some luck on their side. ]

But that's a good plan. You see something weird, take a picture. They might be useful or important later on.

Well, we just learnt about those misterious 'enemies', as far as we know it may be people trying to save us... [she sighs heavily, she shouldn't doubt them so much but... she does. Mostly because in this situation if they're not lying it could be everyone's end.]

I will, I will. There will be monsters in there anyway so expect a lot of useless stuff to look at.

[At this point, he's finally managed to get the fucking video to play, which is enough to warrant the flip from text to, holy shit, video.

Some of us were aware that there was something after them, it just wasn't common knowledge. [ Whoops. Sharon had considered, almost a year ago now, that the enemy of her enemy was her friend. Now, the enemy of her enemy is likely her enemy, if what's been said is true, which means working alongside the gods despite her own reservations. ]

I assume there were reasons this knowledge wasn't shared earlier, now we should try to find out what is after them and why. [They're surrounded by enemies thanks misterious force that brought them in, that's all everyone ever wanted. And, yes, working with the 'gods' seems the best option for now, maybe they're lying but if they're being honest... well, Rydia is too attached to her own life to take the risk]

People don't share well here. As for finding the rest of that out, you'll just have to hope that they'll be willing to share that information with us instead of being as cagey as usual. [ She blames the gods. Honestly, she blames them for just about everything, even when it's not technically their fault. ]

I fear people don't share well in general, not just here, the... prisony isn't helping either. Hopefully the hidden informations will never cost us too much. [Well, it's always a good way to deal with issues... at least from Rydia's point of view since she doesn't really believe they're real gods or telling them any real big truth... being forced to share informations only when things don't go as planned.]

[Shouldn't be too difficult, considering last time, and it's for a good cause. Like not dying forever.]

The only problem I have is the amount of support I see for the entities that ripped us from... where we were before...

[And, y'know, she might also be really really really scared of just about everything SIlent Hill has to offer.]
