[It's time for someone who rarely accesses the network to rear his head again, driven to desperation as the days have ticked by and he's failed to find even a trace of one of his closest friends. That being said when Glacius speaks there's an uncharacteristic urgency tinting his voice, worry bubbling just underneath the surface.] Kate Galloway. Has--has anyone seen or heard from her recently?

[Realizing that in his haste to get to the point he's left out some details, he dials it back a bit:] She's, ah, a human woman. Brightly-colored hair. Worked at the clinic, primarily. I... haven't seen a trace of her ever since the masquerade and...

... Please. [His voice finally wavers noticeably, resignation clashing up against his innate tendency to hope again hope. This can't be how it goes.] I need someone to tell me she's still here.

I'm sorry. It isn't easy to lose someone. Even if we know they've gone home, and it's better there, they're still gone from our lives.

Yes, e-exactly. I feel... awful about this, and somehow even that is making me feel worse. This is what I wanted for her, but... not like this. I wanted to earn it together. I wanted... to be able to say a proper goodbye... [And ultimately he wanted more time with her, even though that feels like a strange and selfish desire to him.]

We never get to. People are just here one minute and gone the next. It's not fair.

[And there's nothing any of them can do about it.]

I, ah. I do. [Whether or not he will without it being like pulling mandibles for that person remains to be seen. He's not all that used to opening up to people, especially in a circumstance he's never had to deal with before.]

It'll help. It's not easy, but it will.

[Adam is notoriously awful at opening up to people, too, but that's the one thing he's learned. It does help.]

Yes. I know you are right. [In both accounts; the last time he'd been similarly struck with a heavy emotional burden, it was letting people in that saved him. And yet he still feels a sort weariness welling up in himself that just makes him want to hide away rather than heap his sorrows upon anyone. Still, he'll have to do his best here; he's no good to anyone if he begins to waste.] I think I will need some time before then, but... I will do my best to remember this.

You don't need to rush it. Just - do whatever you need to to make it easier.
