[Hello everyone, it's Chris. As usual for his posts while there's no event going on, he has very important things to talk about.]

Hey guys. So, while I've had the time to work on it, I've been taking apart the code Rhys used to make Pong and I think I've got enough of a handle on it to start making some games. Really basic games, though.

[Don't ask him to make Crysis or something.]

So yeah, any requests? I was thinking Tetris, and maybe like, a chess game or something? I dunno. I'm open to suggestions.

Em and I are also taking suggestions on the emoji front, too. We've already decided we need a tiny violin for Emily's abject lack of sympathy for my plights in life, but while we're adding one we might as well add a bunch.

You know, I have the music I'd had loaded on my iPhone; I definitely don't have the Tetris music but I'm sure I could put in something.

I totally approve of A Perfect Circle but where's the NIN? The Pretty Reckless? Not even any Johnny Cash, man? [ She needs to get her iPod charged up and give the people of Hadriel real music (which, when it comes to Sharon, is often dark, moody, or sometimes uncharacteristically poppy). ]

[He has no idea actually when Sharon was born, just that they're about the same age, but he's totally going to tease her in return anyway. Sure, he's heard of all of those and The Pretty Reckless is much more recent, but he's still going to pretend she's being a 90s goth in her music tastes.]

'93, bitch. [ She is also a baby of the 90's but fell into the punk and goth crowd after she'd witnessed her father murder someone and had to change names and personality. A complicated life often leads to a complicated taste in music (aka: often emo). ] And I guess '63, too. [ Off-handed, idly almost. ]

Just need some more Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins.

[He's not touching the '63 comment, at least not for now, because he gets the feeling that it would involve some sort of vaguely horrifying story from what he does know about Sharon.]

I'm actually pretty eh about Nirvana. I like me some grunge, and I definitely had some Hole on my iPod, but I never was a huge fan of Cobain's singing.

Dude, same. I have to hear that "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is the greatest song ever one more time...

[He doesn't actually know what he'll do but ugh.]

I don't understand why people like it so much. Hell, I can't even understand the mumbled lyrics. [ Hello? Halo? How low? God, she forgot about that song. ]

They're not even worth understanding anyway, which I dunno if makes it better or worse.

[Just a terrible song all around and he's so glad she shares his disdain.]

[ It feels good to bond with someone over something so trivial. ]

Worse. I think that makes it worse, not that other bands I do like don't have stupid lyrics. But those other bands haven't been shoved in my face as the greatest in grunge to grace God's good earth. [ She also hates Metallica for the same reason. ]

I'll go with that. Seriously though, I think Sandstorm's a better song; I think you even make a case that Nickleback has a better song to choose.

...You take that back. Listening to Nickleback is like listening to, fuck, what was that band that did that angsty teen I hate everything about you song? Just shit.

Aw, man, I know which song you're talking about but who the hell knows who the band was.

[And speaking of angsty teen shit--]

But hey, what about Linkin Park? I mean, where would we be without them? But I guess in the end it doesn't even matter.

[He delivers it with a deadpan, but just enough timing and drawing out of words to call back to the song he's referencing.]

...if I get that song stuck in my head, I'm going to beat it out of yours. [ Flatly. She can't believe Chris just did that. God dammit, it's in her head. Fuck. ]

[He starts laughing, and sounds way too pleased with himself.]
