[Hello everyone, it's Chris. As usual for his posts while there's no event going on, he has very important things to talk about.]

Hey guys. So, while I've had the time to work on it, I've been taking apart the code Rhys used to make Pong and I think I've got enough of a handle on it to start making some games. Really basic games, though.

[Don't ask him to make Crysis or something.]

So yeah, any requests? I was thinking Tetris, and maybe like, a chess game or something? I dunno. I'm open to suggestions.

Em and I are also taking suggestions on the emoji front, too. We've already decided we need a tiny violin for Emily's abject lack of sympathy for my plights in life, but while we're adding one we might as well add a bunch.

ive never coded a video game before
just robots
but it seems like it would be not very hard
not like we dont have like a bunch of time here or anything lmao

Yeah, I mean the really basic games shouldn't be too hard, especially since I've got Rhys' code already.

You programmed robots?

i mean i programmed a robot

but i could program more and i have programmed robotic-like things
his name is mettaton!! hes an entertainment robot

a little bit shaken up uh lately from the events and stuff but
hes still really cool and nice
he took a long time to make tho and then my next research didnt involve robotics so i havent made anything like him in a long time

What else did you work on if not robots?

well uh
mettaton was so fancy that he kind of got me hired by the king to be the royal scientist
so after that it was research for him and the kingdom
about souls and stuff
not what i expected when i made him tbh

Wow that's quite a job title.
What do you mean by researching souls?

[Obviously the general idea's clear enough, but there's all sorts of things that could go into 'researching souls.']

about soul power
its kind of hard to explain but uh
tldr everybody in our world has a manifested soul
human or monster though theyre made of different stuff
i was researching human souls and their unique components

i spend a bunch of time at the lab yeah
i mean i guess its mine technically
i didnt build it but
a friend of mine did and then i took over for them when they left

Maybe a weird long shot here, but do you have anything like a keyboard that'll plug into one of the phones? Typing code on a phone really kind of sucks.

but i could work on an adapter or smth
we have keyboards hooked up to the computer here and ive found spares before
i can see if i can work on something!!!
itd have to draw power from the device tho and probably go in through the charging port
so you probs wouldnt be able to use it for like ever
maybe i can get it in thru the headphone jack
ill do some tooling around

[He's perfectly happy to talk Science Things with her at any time, and hey, his girlfriend is also a jumpy ball of anxiety a lot so he won't judge.]

Anything you can come up with would be way better than what I'm working with right now, so I'm not about to be picky.

Also no rush or anything, and don't feel obligated to work on it at all if you don't want to.

i mean its mostly a matter of making an adapter than it is like
making the keyboard lmao
but i feel like that could be useful for me too
and a lot of my long term work is like. yknow
