[Hello everyone, it's Chris. As usual for his posts while there's no event going on, he has very important things to talk about.]

Hey guys. So, while I've had the time to work on it, I've been taking apart the code Rhys used to make Pong and I think I've got enough of a handle on it to start making some games. Really basic games, though.

[Don't ask him to make Crysis or something.]

So yeah, any requests? I was thinking Tetris, and maybe like, a chess game or something? I dunno. I'm open to suggestions.

Em and I are also taking suggestions on the emoji front, too. We've already decided we need a tiny violin for Emily's abject lack of sympathy for my plights in life, but while we're adding one we might as well add a bunch.

Right, exactly. Emojis are basically just pictures that you can put in instead of writing the text. Here, lemme send you some.

[Okay, he's laughing a bit at the emoji spam; it's always nice when someone has fun with them, because that's the entire point of having made them.]

I'm guessing 'salty' isn't slang you have? Or don't have yet, anyway; it's like being really pissed off or bitter about something, and usually that something isn't even worth it. People are salty here a lot.

People here have reason to be salty. And no, that slang hasn't happened yet. Air can be salty. Also food. [ Damon could be described as salty, she realizes. ]

Yeah, that's why we thought was really needed the emoji. Unfortunately I think only live, five people had any idea what it meant.

[So they've been explaining it a lot, although that ends up being pretty funny; the reactions they get are so varied.]

Well, now six people know. And anyone else who can see this. [ Which, she's heard, is anyone tuning in. It's not a private conversation. Something she's gotten used to. ] I like that I know. I feel less behind the times. [ Sort of. In minor ways. ] Also, if I have any game requests, I'll let you know. My brother's the gamer in the family.

[He laughs a little at that.]

Yeah, true enough. Maybe I should just make like, an announcement at some point too. Just in case.

[Her comment about feeling behind the time makes him have to ask--]

What uh, what year is it where you're from? And cool, yeah, just let me know if you think of anything.

Two thousand and eight. [ She's awaiting your reaction. Caroline's from eight years ahead of her. And there are people here from places she's never heard of. ]

Oh, hey, that's not so bad. It's February 2015 back home for me.

[Pretty close to the eight year gap between her and Caroline, actually.]

Seven years. [ She's still wrapping her head around that. ] What's it like in 2015? Preferably, the cliff's notes. [ This is safer because it won't include personal information. She doesn't think Chris knows her. ] Oh, you're from Earth, right? Maybe the US?

Uh, a lot like 2008, just better technology. I mean, it sounds like a long time, but I was in junior high in 2008 so I remember it pretty clearly.

[And sure, there's probably lots of current events stuff he could tell her, but why be depressing?]

Yeah, I'm from Los Angeles, though I was in Canada before I arrived here. How about you?

Virginia. It's a small town called Mystic Falls. That's where I was before here. Where in Canada?

I've heard Virginia's super nice, but I've never been.

It was this place called Blackwood, near Alberta. I uh, totally don't recommend going anywhere near there, though.

[It's got a wendigo problem.]

I don't know if I'd call it that, but it's home, so it's nice to us. Sometimes, it's even super.

[He laughs a little at that.]

Cool, thanks. I mean, surely Canada's not like... Horrible in every world, but I know at least mine and another where it's monster central for some reason.

So you think there are other worlds like ours - or, like yours. Even though we both have Canada and Virginia. [ It's the first time she's compared being here to a concept like the Other Side. Except, the monsters there died. ] What do you mean it's monster central? You had monsters in your Canada, too?

I think so, yeah; I mean, I know my world has stuff other people's worlds don't, even if the major landmarks are the same.

[...Okay, 'too'? What is with Canada, seriously?]

There are monsters in your Canada too? Seriously?

[And oh yeah, her question--]

There are definitely monsters in my Canada, and they fucking suck. There are some in the friend I mentioned's Canada too, but they're totally different then the ones in mine.

[ Oh, she - lets him speak. ] There aren't. Monsters in my Canada - not, your kind of monsters it sounds like. But, there might be others. [ She pauses, having admitted this once today. ] Vampires. But, we don't call them monsters because not all vampires are monsters. [ But there might be vampires in Canada. Probably are, even. ]

[Oh, hm. Well, after being in Hadriel he's willing to accept the idea of vampires not being monsters all the time--she'd know better than him, after all--but still. Supernatural creatures in Canada, at least.]

Yeah uh, it's wendigos in mine. They're definitely monsters. Or like, ghost things that turn people into monsters, but same difference.

Is it just vampires that are a thing in your world?

No. Vampires. Witches. Werewolves. [ Is he taking this weirdly? Because she's watching his reaction. ]

[Chris is completely unfazed by this sort of thing at this point; his own world's got weird stuff it shouldn't, he's used to strangeness in Hadriel, and what does he know about what sort of things exist in other people's worlds? He's totally willing to just accept what Elena's saying at face value.]

Huh. Are they all like... Everyone knows about them? Or is it like, only some people know they exist?

Only some people know. Most don't. They attribute what happens to animal attacks, or tragedy. [ Murder, sure, but not courtesy of the undead. ] Are wendigos common knowledge?
