[Hello everyone, it's Chris. As usual for his posts while there's no event going on, he has very important things to talk about.]

Hey guys. So, while I've had the time to work on it, I've been taking apart the code Rhys used to make Pong and I think I've got enough of a handle on it to start making some games. Really basic games, though.

[Don't ask him to make Crysis or something.]

So yeah, any requests? I was thinking Tetris, and maybe like, a chess game or something? I dunno. I'm open to suggestions.

[And on that note--]

Em and I are also taking suggestions on the emoji front, too. We've already decided we need a tiny violin for Emily's abject lack of sympathy for my plights in life, but while we're adding one we might as well add a bunch.

[So yeah. That concludes this super important, incredibly necessary post.]

[Sleeping is technically doing something. But only technically. Most people would claim that's really doing nothing at all, which Sans is ideologically fine with.]

I've had lots of practice.

[Chris is pretty sure that, for him anyway, the more practice at doing nothing the harder it becomes, not easier, but that makes him wonder--]

You know, I've gotta ask; do you do the whole 'nothing' thing because you actually like it, or because there's nothing better to be doing instead?

[He contemplates that for a minute, scratching at the temporal region of his skull with one phalanx at considerable length before he final wheedles up an acceptable answer.]

...yes.

[Well, he asked.]

[Chris raises an eyebrow at that.]

I'm gonna take the second answer to be the actual one then, unless you're gonna correct me after all.

[Because he can't imagine Sans wouldn't just say so if the first answer were the only correct one.]

All of the above, more like.

[He likes doing nothing. Really, he does. It's part of his charm, or something. It's preferable to investing time and emotional care into something only to have it all be for nothing, right?]

Fair enough.

[But now he also definitely has to ask--]

What would you want to do? Like, what would be better than doing nothing, if you could pick anything?

Sleeping.

[Thanks for that, Sans. Very descriptive. Very helpful.]

Or, uh...stargazing. That's close enough to doing "nothing," right?

[Of course it ain't. But it's better than admitting when he has a genuine interest in something like stars.]

Stargazing's pretty cool. I wish it were a thing here, though the lights that were put up are pretty awesome on their own.

[He really enjoys them.]

You can thank Shadow for that little idea.

[That ain't completely true. But he's more than happy to let Shadow take the credit, 'specially since Kate ain't around to avoid mentioning her involvement either.]

I'll have to do that and embarrass him for doing something nice.

[It'll be fun.]

[Please do embarrass Shadow for having feelings and being nice to people. It's always hilarious.]

He'll be in denial about it for days, but it'll be worth it.

[Once he gets a good opportunity ~~and if nothing terrible somehow manages to happen before then~~ he'll gladly torment Shadow.]

[ha ha, good thing everyone's definitely doing perfectly fine and healthy right now!]

He and Emily tend to get on, right? [Or is their trading of barbs just the way they express affection?]

Uh, he and Em tend to... Something. I dunno what's up with them right now.

[They're both kind of prickly sometimes, pun intended on Shadow's side.]

It's hard for you to tell too?

[He was worrying if it was just him, slipping up and suddenly being utterly unable to read two tsunderes tsunning at each other, aggressively. It seems friendly, some of the time.

Some of the time.]

Uh, yeah, and it's usually not difficult for me to tell how well people are or aren't getting along, but--

[He makes a 'pssh' noise and tosses a hand up. He's got no clue.]

They kinda speak their own language, yeah.

[He, uh, is gonna make the command decision to leave 'em to it instead of intervening next time. Mostly 'cause intervention has only ever turned around to bite him in the coccyx.]

Honestly I'm kind of surprised that language isn't just curse words.

Isn't it, though? Every time I think I'm doing 'em one solid I can't tell if they're secretly mad at me or somethin'.

Em's usually not 'secretly' mad, so don't worry about that. She's not exactly shy about letting you know if she's pissed.

[Shadow's more confusing, in his experience.]

[Though that actually reminds him - ]

Guess I'll just have to assume Shadow's pissed all the time. [Easy.]

Might be fair. The last time he was legit pissed off at me I thought he was joking at first.

[Because really, who gets that mad over something that minor?]

You know why he was mad?

[Just to...keep in mind. For the future.]

Uh, yeah, I said whoever blew up the bar was a dick. He took some offense.

[Chris sounds and looks totally unbothered by this, because it turned out fine, but he was so not amused at the time.]

...ah.

[So either Shadow knew who did it, or he was the one behind the deal. And given Shadow's desire to help paint the sky with stars for no reason whatsoever - though it certainly made people happy, didn't it? - he thinks he's gotta pretty solid clue over which.]

Funny what people will take offense to, huh?
