[It's pretty early in the day when Ellie sends out a network wide cry for help.]

I'm bored as hell. Need something fun to do around here. First person to give me a great idea wins my undying gratitude and an IOU.

[That's it. She's out. Quite literally; the moment the video ends, Ellie is slinging her backpack over her shoulders and heading off on a walk, just to be doing something.

Boredom isn't the crux of the issue, in actuality. If she wasn't so intent on stubbornly clinging to her pride in front of a bunch of strangers, she'd admit she just wants someone to hang out with.

She misses him a lot, today.]

[ One might say Matt "saw" her post on the network... well, more like he heard it, duh, but he feels for her. Time to try and be a dad, Matt! This definitely isn't giving him flashbacks to his youth or anything.

She does jump when he suddenly sounds off behind her, and her hand flies to her knife. It's out and clicked open before she realises there's no real danger, and Ellie wheezes a little.]

Matt only leans back a little, mostly not reacting for the most part. I mean, he's blind. (haha) ]

[(HA HA....YES.) She tucks the knife back away, and just kinda shrugs before she remembers.]

Uh. Yeah.

[Ellie shuffles in place, feeling kinda bad. It's nothing personal... she just has good reason to let her quick instincts take over at times like this. The truth is, she doesn't trust the world enough to truly believe that anyone is going to protect her but herself. She's not saying that, though.]

I used to tell jokes. Back home. I read comics, too.
