[It's pretty early in the day when Ellie sends out a network wide cry for help.]

I'm bored as hell. Need something fun to do around here. First person to give me a great idea wins my undying gratitude and an IOU.

[That's it. She's out. Quite literally; the moment the video ends, Ellie is slinging her backpack over her shoulders and heading off on a walk, just to be doing something.

Boredom isn't the crux of the issue, in actuality. If she wasn't so intent on stubbornly clinging to her pride in front of a bunch of strangers, she'd admit she just wants someone to hang out with.

She misses him a lot, today.]

[After he gets the call from Rydia, Kain heads out to find her. He figures he... may as well go and see what she wants. He's been too wrapped up in doing his own things lately, anyway.]

[Soon enough, he's approaching the area. He nods in greeting, his overall demeanor about the usual for Kain: stern and stiff overall.]

Rydia? You wanted me to join you?

[Before Kain heads on over, Ellie nods enthusiastically at Rydia.]

Yeah. Yes. Definitely. The treasure thing does sound pretty cool, too. There's a bunch of kids here, and I bet they'd love it.

[And there he is! Or so she thinks, since Ellie can only hear Kain at this stage.]

Duuuuuuude! Shit! Is that him? Tell me he's in. Where are you guys, anyway?

That's it, then, I will see what can be done. I wonder if one of our so called gods would be interested in giving us something at least kid-appealing. You know, to have something fun to do while nothing happens in the city.

[And she turns to look at Kain, turning on the video feed and shoring Ellie the armor covered man]

It's hiiiim~ [She chirps happily before walking at his side and wrapping an arm around his shoulders] He will be in, don't worry. [the woman winks at the camera silently saying 'I know how to handle this'] So, Kain, meet our new friend. This young woman would love to experiment the thrill of being a dragoon being carried on your back while you jump around the city and I thought it would be such a great way for you to increase your training regime. I mean, how often do you get a volunteer who'll weight you down?

Sooo... who is the awesome man who will give this girl the ride of her life? Oh, and we're near the spires, I'm sure we can reach you easily wherever you are.

[Ellie can't help but laugh a little. She's already getting the vague impression she has this guy wrapped around her little finger.]

I'm in spire three right now! I'll come down and meet you guys outside it!

[And she's off, racing down and not waiting to hear Kain's response.]

[More like Rydia is desperately trying to get Kain to socialize but shhh, he's a strong and cool dude, right? Rydia grins and offers Ellie a wink before turning off the communication. Follows a moment of silence and hen the woman simply 'bonks' her hip against his side]

Come on, it will be fun. And I hope you're ready to carry me too to spire three because I'm not exactly the fastest runner of the city. You wouldn't disappoint two pretty ladies, would you?

[Was it already enstablished that sh likes to make fun of him, right?]

[By now, Kain is very used to this sort of thing. He would never agree with that notion, but Rydia really does have him wrapped around her finger in a way. She's his one companion from home here, so... she means a lot to him. Certainly more than anyone else.]

[He's very unsure about this idea... at first. But as he quietly considers it... he wonders, what harm could really come of it at all?]

No, of course I don't want to be a disappointment. I'm willing to try it. I don't carry others often, but... it's definitely possible.

[He glances upward, then back toward Ellie.] It's more impressive in a real sky, of course, but we'll deal with what we have.

[That's what friends are for, Kain, to push you out of your shell and try to help you make new friends. Anyway, she waves in Ellie's direction once they reach her and bounces a couple of times in the place- gotta show some enthusiasm if the dragoon is just going to look all serious-right?]

Piggyback ride sky jumping time! And... please, Kain, if you're afraid to be too heavy you can just leave the armor behind. You know, using normal, common clothes...

[Look at her smirk, she would definitely like that. Rydia smiles widely while rolling her eyes and crossing her arm.] Don't listen to him, it's going to be amazing- instead of thinking about the lack of the real sky think about the positive things of jumping around here. [She points a finger up to the ceiling] If you jump high enough you can almost touch those stars, from up above you can look at the city in it's whole beauty and appreciate its small lights and shadows, you can still feel the wind and the speed of the jumps and you can visit places you've never seen before- it's going to be great!

[And she's going to stay right there, on the floor, because you have to fight to convince her to do something similar] Are you ready... Oh, right. I'm Rydia, what is your name?

[Ellie is just thrumming with excitement. Girl doesn't get out much. Especially, uh, you know, now that they're all trapped in a cave.]

No, no, I'm positive it's gonna be awesome! Dude, don't sell this short. Holy shit. [She grins at Kain and Rydia, and claps her hands together.] I'm ready! Uh, I'm Ellie! I'm Ellie, and I'm ready!

Ellie. It's nice to meet you.

[Kain is all intense and serious as he says this, it's just his way, though. He sighs, glancing over at Rydia. She has a way of getting enthusiastic about things... but... it's not a bad thing at all, really, is it? She's trying to give them some sort of fun in this place.]

I should be able to do it just fine in my armor, I can guarantee that. I've lifted plenty of things into the sky before.

[He glances at Ellie again now.]

Let's try this... if you'll come over here. [He makes to prepare for a piggyback ride, moving to bend just so, so that she can climb onto his back.] Be sure to hold on securely. It's... faster than you might think.

[Rydia just turns in Kain's direction for a moment with a grin that clearly says 'see? before returning to Ellie.Look, she's being nice and not making any comment about how she doesn't like Kain's armor!]

I love your enthusiasm, girl! Make sure you keep a strong grip around his neck and just enjoy your ride in the sky.

[The summoner crosses her arms, waiting for them to jump away. She's going to wait there, happily waiting with her feet on the ground.]

Now... have a good time you two. I will just sit here and wait until you're back. I could actually prepare some tea or something but just... go and have fun.

Yeah, nice to meet you too, dude.

[Maybe there should be something awkward about immediately getting a piggyback from someone you've just met, but Ellie is already clambering up onto Kain's back as Rydia speaks. She doesn't take their warnings lightly, and holds on super tightly. Falling from the top of the cave isn't what she's here to do.

Ellie does let go again for just a moment though- to flash Rydia a thumbs up.]

I seriously owe you. Let's do this!!

[It really is more than a bit odd, that's for sure... but Kain is getting used to strange things in this cave. So once he's sure he's got Ellie securely on his back, he nods toward Rydia.]

We'll be back in a moment. [Then he returns his attention toward Ellie.] Ready? Then... here we go!

[To Kain, it's like second nature, jumping off from the ground into the sky. It barely seems to take him effort at all as he launches himself upward. They ascend very rapidly, going as high as they can manage before almost reaching the height of the cave itself. It almost seems they'll hit the ceiling, but Kain is ready... and he's got much more control over himself in the air than that.]

[Swiftly, he flips around to start descending, bringing them back downward...]

[There's a small amused frown from her as she pats his shoulder, she doesn't ned them to 'be back in a moment', she wants to see the dragoon socialize]

Kain, take all the time, you two are supposed to go and have fun... [She crosses her arms, offering an half smug grin to the younger woman] It's mutual, Ellie, the alternative was staying at home, bored, this way we're all doing something cool, right? And you gave me a great reason to call Kain between other people so, well, I owe you one.

Go and have fun!

[A thumb up in return and she just... steps back, waiting for them to be done, no matters how long it'll take.]

[It strikes Ellie as a little strange that Rydia is so keen to get Kain out and about. Maybe the guy is a total hermit? Well, whatever. Not her problem. She answers eagerly in the affirmative when Kain asked if she's ready, and then they're off.

The entire time they ascend, Ellie is just shrieking, arms almost painfully tight around Kain. She finds her smile somewhere around the time they reach near the top of the cave, and on the way back down, she's whooping and laughing far more, clearly without any worries as to who can hear.]

[The whole thing goes by fast, in a literal whirlwind. As he descends just as rapidly, Kain is in completely control over things. He comes downward, landing right on his feet. He bends a little on impact, straightening up right after. He glances back toward Ellie to see how she’s doing. The excited shouts and laughter probably give it away. ~~Kain is basically a human carnival ride.~~]
