[For those familiar with Clinic, it can be recognized to be the backdrop for this broadcast; it's also probably easy enough to guess that Lance has just arrived there, because he's obviously drenched. It doesn't seem to bother him any, though, except for that his slightly ridiculous hair is now definitely long enough to fall into his eyes when wet, so he has to shove some of it out of the way before he can actually see the screen.

Despite being soaked he looks a little more vibrant and relaxed than usual, although in contrast his tone is quiet and sedate for the most part.]

Is the 'raining underground' thing strange even for here, or...?

[Because he hasn't been here that long and he's heard that it's snowed before, so maybe not? But the rain is totally not the point of this post, so he continues.]

But rain aside, I'd actually wanted to ask about the caves that branch off from the main cavern. I know they're supposedly difficult to navigate and filled with monsters, but have there been any coordinated efforts to explore them? And what sort of monsters exist in them?

[He does remember Maketh telling them there are paper records on some of the monsters at the Guard post, but as far as he's concerned that's really not too helpful. Besides, he'd rather hear that the general populace has to say, and talk to them individually on this.]

I doubt it, but we may be able to combine enough rope or otherwise to form something long enough to at least experiment with. Do you have to be in a certain distance before it begins to shift?

[Don't ask Prussia for plans, unless you're planning an actual war. Hopefully that'll never happen here.]

Hard to judge space in there, but it doesn't take long. Soon as your mind wanders away from how many paces you've gone, forget it.

I really do think cracking the cave code is the only way we're getting out of here. The gods are too busy with other stuff, so we can't rely on them. We have to do this ourselves!

It shouldn't be too difficult to test the tether idea, then, although I'd be a little concerned about purposefully trying to provoke a change.

[He doesn't want anyone getting lost just to conduct an experiment. As far as the importance of the caves goes, he's not sure they're the key to anything but they definitely merit further investigation.]

It's something to consider, at least; I think they're worth looking into further than they have been.

I'm willing to be the guinea pig. I get lost in there all the time as it is, what's the difference whether or not I got a rope tied to me?

Besides, I've been looking for a new plan to work on anyway. All of my ones so far have been, uh. Set aside for now.

[Lance is... Not as confident as Prussia seems to be.]

Hopefully none, but there could be potential problems if it gets caught or pulled in a certain way.

[He doesn't ask about the other plans for now, simply because he has too much to worry about right now to add anything else.]

I'm tough enough for it! Besides, if it catches on something, I can cut it. I'll just get out on my own after that.

[Prussia doesn't have a lot, but he does have confidence in himself.]

[He's not completely sure about this, but Prussia does seem confident and he knows more about the situation than Lance does.]

[Though that won't be until after the storm, of course; besides exploring caves when it's been raining is never a bright idea.]
