That storm was a hell of a thing. [She had gotten used to no weather. Heaven didn't have weather. Neither did the cave. That was the norm.]

Did any buildings go down? [She's checked on the clinic since the storm abated, but even she can't get everywhere in a day or two.]

Hell, what about people? Is everyone okay? [She knows she was stubborn and tried to go out in almost the worst of it. She hopes anyone else didn't do that.

Then she realizes it's been a while since she made a network post.]

Uh, my name is Jo. I've been here a while. If anyone new needs anything, I'll try to help.

I'm fine. If anything, I feel better after the storm. [ a pause and then: ] I just closed my eyes and... pretended I was somewhere else.

And it worked? [Jo would have tried if she had thought of it, but the rain kept bringing her back to reality.]

For a little, yeah. I closed my eyes and just stood there. Wet grass, mud. It's the closest thing to home I've seen in a long time. I didn't even mind it when it got worse.

Better than the other shit they could throw at us, too.

I bet that was nice. [Sometimes, when she's drifting off she can almost imagine she's home, sleeping at The Roadhouse. She always wakes up sad.]

Yeah, a storm is better than some things.

Most things, I'd think. Here, anyway. I'm kind of surprised they didn't take a chance and give us a flood while they were at it.

I'm not sure these buildings would have survived a flood. [She shakes her head, though Sharon can't see it.]

So it's probably good.

I doubt Tranquility would be too down for building destruction just to fuck us over.

Small blessings. [Jo sighs.]

We got to have something, right?

In a place like this, yeah.

What is it you do to blow time?

I look for supplies. I take walks. [She pauses for a second.]

It's not very exciting.

You could always hit up the sewing shop and learn to use a needle?

I can mend what I need. [Plus she uses those skills for bullet wounds and cuts.]

All right, how about trying to get Chris to teach you coding on this damned phone? We could always use more people to make emojis to annoy our lovely deities with. [ She's just bullshitting. ]

You good with a bow and arrow?

[Jo laughs at the idea of her trying to code. She can use computers and the fancy phones, but trying to program one? That's not her area.]

I could get better. What about you?

I could definitely use the practice, if I'm honest. I may have weird abilities but I'd rather shoot shit in the head than stab them up close, you know?

[Now Jo's curiosity is piqued, but she doesn't want to ask any accidentally rude questions.]

You wanna get together and practice? We could set something up in the orchard.

[ The offer catches her off guard but she smiles and it's nearly audible. ]

Yeah, that sounds like it could be a good way to kill some hours.

[Jo likes Sharon, and trusts that Sharon isn't going to shoot her.]
