That storm was a hell of a thing. [She had gotten used to no weather. Heaven didn't have weather. Neither did the cave. That was the norm.]

Did any buildings go down? [She's checked on the clinic since the storm abated, but even she can't get everywhere in a day or two.]

Hell, what about people? Is everyone okay? [She knows she was stubborn and tried to go out in almost the worst of it. She hopes anyone else didn't do that.

Then she realizes it's been a while since she made a network post.]

Uh, my name is Jo. I've been here a while. If anyone new needs anything, I'll try to help.

It was a desert planet. The story goes that it was bombarded...everything was destroyed and all that was left was a desert wasteland. The only way we even get water usually is to collect it from the air. Moisture farming.

There's still fog? [That's weird, but she doesn't know enough about deserts or moisture farming (if that's even a thing) to doubt it.]

This place must be different for you.

Not much that I saw. It's hard to tell, though...maybe someplace.

Not as much as it could be. I've traveled a lot as an adult...seen a lot more than when I was young. It's still quite interesting, though.

Traveling gives you a new perspective.

[She never got to do as much traveling as she really wanted. She's been all over the United States but never got to leave the country.]

It does, very much so.

Do you have any other questions?

Just a couple. If we're trapped here, how do those who are brought here live? Do we have to find jobs and earn money? I saw markets and things while I was exploring...

There's not really an economy here. I scavenge for what I need.

I hope you're able to find things all right. I guess I can manage, although it sounds like it's probably hard at times. Maybe I can find ways to help people at times.

I've been okay so far. I try to help people when I can. [A pause.]

I think this place works better when we all try to help.
