It has come to my attention that a number of you do not like Dr. Sweets. I did not like him either when I first met him, so this is understandable.

In an effort to help strengthen his standing within the community, I am requesting that you please state if you do or do not like Dr. Sweets, and why. Please also respond if you are indifferent on him, as more data will allow me to form a more complete and accurate conclusion.

I don't know him. Is he okay with this? Asking people to publicly list what they don't like about him seems mean.

He regularly addresses similar issues, and given his career, he is well equipped to utilize the information being obtained from this post.

Regularly addressing the reasons why people don't like you sucks.

It sounds like you think the information will be useful. It might not be. People can jump to conclusions and not like someone without knowing the whole story. Or for reasons that aren't even true. When you do in public, another person sees it and might believe it. Rumors start and it gets hard to have others understand the real person.

He is a psychologist, and he is very good at his job, my feelings about his profession aside.

No. It is simply a matter of a soft science touting itself and its findings as if they bear the same weight as those of the hard sciences. In fact, I have had positive experiences with mental health professionals, but I believe that is a reflection of their own intelligence and not their profession's so-called wisdom.

I just meant I was addressing it privately because I didn't know the whole story of why you were bringing this stuff up or how people feel about you and this other guy.

Would you feel differently about psychiatry?

My experiences have varied depending on the mental health professional.

I have had a positive interation with a psychiatrist in the past, but my opinion remains the same. Psychiatrists, at least, are also medical doctors, and their studies include measurable data such as neurological activity and brain chemistry.

Wyatt. He is from where Dr. Sweets and I are from.
