Hello, fellow abductees,

It has come to my attention that a number of you do not like Dr. Sweets. I did not like him either when I first met him, so this is understandable.

In an effort to help strengthen his standing within the community, I am requesting that you please state if you do or do not like Dr. Sweets, and why. Please also respond if you are indifferent on him, as more data will allow me to form a more complete and accurate conclusion.

He regularly addresses similar issues, and given his career, he is well equipped to utilize the information being obtained from this post.

Regularly addressing the reasons why people don't like you sucks.

It sounds like you think the information will be useful. It might not be. People can jump to conclusions and not like someone without knowing the whole story. Or for reasons that aren't even true. When you do in public, another person sees it and might believe it. Rumors start and it gets hard to have others understand the real person.

What's his career?

I admit I did not consider that. I will need to speak with him about how to proceed.

He is a psychologist, and he is very good at his job, my feelings about his profession aside.

I don't know the whole story either.

You don't like shrinks? Did you have a bad experience with one?

I don't know what that means.

No. It is simply a matter of a soft science touting itself and its findings as if they bear the same weight as those of the hard sciences. In fact, I have had positive experiences with mental health professionals, but I believe that is a reflection of their own intelligence and not their profession's so-called wisdom.

I just meant I was addressing it privately because I didn't know the whole story of why you were bringing this stuff up or how people feel about you and this other guy.

Would you feel differently about psychiatry?

My experiences have varied depending on the mental health professional.

I have had a positive interation with a psychiatrist in the past, but my opinion remains the same. Psychiatrists, at least, are also medical doctors, and their studies include measurable data such as neurological activity and brain chemistry.

Was your interaction with Hannibal?

No. I don't know anyone named Hannibal. The man I meant is Dr.
Wyatt. He is from where Dr. Sweets and I are from.

Hannibal and I are from the same place. He's here too.

I see. And he is a psychiatrist. His medical training will be very useful here.

I'm sure it will. He saved my life once.

He used to be a surgeon.

Then I am glad he is here. If what has happened here in the past repeats itself going forward, then we will have need of a surgeon.

Yes. Things like wasps. Or perhaps worse.

Yes, but it is best to be prepared for any eventuality.

There are some things that we can't prepare for though.

You are correct. The best we can hope for is that it will be over soon when the worst comes.

Depends on how's it over. I always find a way to live with the bad. I don't want to die.

Neither do I. At least here it is not permanent here if we die.

It isn't?

The one called Hope revives those who die.

That's hard to imagine.

Does it happen every time?

Allegedly, yes. I do not hope to die here, but it is not unlikely most of us will experience resurrection at least once.
