Well... seems like there's a few of you who are ready to sell us out.

[His voice is soft- not really angry, but there's a sinister lilt to it.]

And here I thought we were all growing to be one big, happy family. I can't say I'm fond of the necessity of weeding out spies in our city, but... listen, we're all in a flurry about this. We need to do something, and everyone wants a say in how we're supposed to move forward from here.

[Which has been a headache and a half for all of the gods. Sure, they get along in the grand scheme of things, but there's definitely a little clash of ideals going on, and frankly, Fear is tired of the arguing.]

So what I thought we'd do is to have you vote on who's in charge here. Who takes action and comes up with a game plan on how we're going to suss out what the Null are planning. Obviously, Sorrow wants to be our fearless leader, but his methods are a little... direct. Delight and Rage would probably have a little murder mystery party when they get back, Tranquility and Confusion- I'm not sure if they'd actually do anything at all, come to think of it.

[Christ, this is a mess.]

As far as Love and myself go... I can think of a few people I'd like to personally interrogate.

Anyway, cast your votes or ask your standard slew of questions. Yes, I realize that some of the dissenters will be voting, yeah I know that you all want to be in charge instead- there's probably a few of us who might bend our ears to you, but as we can't put a hundred people in charge, it's gonna be one of us.

Oh, I get it. I know what we've done and I know that it hasn't endeared any of you to us in the slightest.

I also know that right now our biggest priority is survival, and sometimes that means treating you guys terribly to get the emotion we need from you. You can't just feel what we want you to feel on cue- at least, not in the volumes we need- and if we're not strong enough to do what we need to do, then all of us die.

Well, it's rather hard to keep everyone here if they can get randomly yanked from your grasp, isn't it? You can't become a family if you can't predict if and when someone will leave. It distorts the perception of bonding.

I, for one, personally enjoy it here. It's such a pity that I can't guarantee my stay. I don't suppose you would know of any way to prevent the Door from yanking myself and others of such an enjoyable settlement, would you?

I think we might be able to trap them. I don't think it would be an easy endeavor on any of our parts but once I put someone in my alternate reality, they don't get to leave unless I let them. I know you don't trust me but... I don't know, let me try. They'll learn fear and that's the only thing they'll ever learn there.

But alright. I don't think emotion will spread to them through their shared connection since they technically deleted the process that allows them to feel in the first place. We'd need to do it individually. As far as how we get them here.... [He shudders.] I'd rather focus on keeping them out. If one stumbles in, that's a different story, but this feels more like a Plan C instead of Plan A or B.
