seven ☠ voice/text
Well... seems like there's a few of you who are ready to sell us out.
[His voice is soft- not really angry, but there's a sinister lilt to it.]
And here I thought we were all growing to be one big, happy family. I can't say I'm fond of the necessity of weeding out spies in our city, but... listen, we're all in a flurry about this. We need to do something, and everyone wants a say in how we're supposed to move forward from here.
[Which has been a headache and a half for all of the gods. Sure, they get along in the grand scheme of things, but there's definitely a little clash of ideals going on, and frankly, Fear is tired of the arguing.]
So what I thought we'd do is to have you vote on who's in charge here. Who takes action and comes up with a game plan on how we're going to suss out what the Null are planning. Obviously, Sorrow wants to be our fearless leader, but his methods are a little... direct. Delight and Rage would probably have a little murder mystery party when they get back, Tranquility and Confusion- I'm not sure if they'd actually do anything at all, come to think of it.
[Christ, this is a mess.]
As far as Love and myself go... I can think of a few people I'd like to personally interrogate.
Anyway, cast your votes or ask your standard slew of questions. Yes, I realize that some of the dissenters will be voting, yeah I know that you all want to be in charge instead- there's probably a few of us who might bend our ears to you, but as we can't put a hundred people in charge, it's gonna be one of us.
[A pause.]
Sorry.

How would everyone investigate?
( She's made her vote for now but maybe there's reason to change her mind. )

Sorrow and Hope will be methodical and thorough. I imagine they'd suspect everyone and clear them off the list after enough evidence has been presented to prove their innocence. Hope will soften Sorrow's directness, but it's likely that he'll initiate a few intense conversations with some of you. It's not unheard of that he or Hope would use their abilities to coax honesty. Aside from that, Sorrow is likely our best bet when it comes to having a tactical advantage on the Null- it just comes at the cost of his abrasiveness and lack of popularity with all of you.
Love and myself want to do face to face interactions. We're better at reading people when we can see them, and we can use our emotional sway on them then. Probably not as many targets, though. I can tell you right now that my priority is safety over engagements- I want to get us as far away as possible as often as possible, screw trying to get the upper hand or sending our own into enemy territory. [He's looking at you, Rage and Delight.]
Rage and Delight will probably go their own way. Delight is really good at the hurt puppy guilt thing, and she'd likely try to appeal with her friendship to some of you, while Rage will either sit it out or act on her own if necessary. Not very effective if your minds are already made up, but Delight doesn't like the idea of being hard on you. Not that any of us love it, mind, but she's pretty rigid on her stance of being nice. Going forward, they'd be more inclined to fight the Null head on. They died last time acting as our vanguard, and while I'm not going to say that they'd get us all killed doing the same thing... Rage is hotheaded, especially when it comes to Delight, and Delight has a tendency of overestimating how much punishment she can take.
And lastly, for Tranquility and Confusion.... I'm not sure if they'd do much of anything. Tranquility might try to ask a few questions here and there, but Confusion definitely isn't my first pick for trying to extract information- it's just in her nature. I think it's more likely that they'd use resources trying to keep Hope sequestered and safe, rather than trying to find out where the threat is. Once that's all done with, they'll probably use diversion tactics and focus on obfuscating the Null to allow us to escape and wait for an opening for us to gain the upper hand- if that ever happens.
Again, not sure how set in stone all that is, it's just my best guess judging from how everyone has reacted to the news so far.

Alright.
Still good to know.
( Or, to put it in normal people speak, thank you. )
