I have an idea that might help us protect Hope and see who makes a move against him. Annabeth, do you still have your cap?

I don't know. It's a possibility? I just wasn't sure who to trust.

I haven't heard good things about the Guard.

But these gods? From what I've been able to piece together? They were a whole family. Or species. Something. There were more of them. I think the Null killed all the rest.

I'm not sure if that says something about how strong the Null are or how weak and unorganized these gods are.

And the Null are the things that want to get rid of Hope?

Sounds to me like once they wipe them out, they'd wipe us out next.

Yeah, I think so too. But not everyone believes that though.

There are a few who are openly siding with the Null. Some members of the Guard included.

What's the point of them being on the Guard if they're not going to do any guarding?

Maybe you should ask them that.

But seriously, what are they supposed to do? Are they supposed to be a guard for us? Someone else?

I think they're supposed to protect us from monsters and provide 'order'. I don't think for all their biases that the Null fit that description.

If they try to order me around, I'd like to see them try and make me listen.

They could probably learn a lot from you, Nico.

I vote we put Annabeth in charge of the guard.

I love that idea. However, I'm not entirely sure their two current co-leaders will see it our way.

Who are the leaders anyway?

Henry Percy and Maketh Tua. I haven't actually met any of them, so I'm not sure what they look like.

... Oh. Henry was my father during the time we thought we weren't demigods. I've never heard of Maketh though.

[Well that's kind of awkward isn't it>]

Well then maybe you can help figure out if he's okay.

Maybe. I've never spoken to him since everything went back to normal and I'd never spoken to him before that whole... thing, so I don't really know what he's really like at all.

Well.....don't you think it might be a good idea? You did spend an awful lot of time with the guy.

Yeah but... it's very awkward.

[sonofacesius]

Believe me, talking to 'mom' was weird too. But she did invite me over for pancakes or if I ever missed my own mom.

It's weird. But it could be good, especially in a place like this.

[They didn't have Chiron, or their Olympian parents. Sure they were demigod teenagers, but it was nice to have someone offer a hug or some pancakes when you needed them.]

The hot chocolate I can probably fix. The polenta, you probably don't want me doing intensive cooking.

I can make polenta if we find what we need to make it. Have you ever had real Italian food?

You mean besides what passes for it at camp? Not since I was young.

[Will paused, wondering how to bring this up.]

Do you remember how to make things then?

I've been gradually remembering things from before I was dipped in the Lethe, if that's what you're asking. There's still things I'm sure I don't recall but... I remember things from Italy. Including how to make polenta.

Well then you'll have to teach me. It'll be fun.
