Some things worth noting:

1. You can apparently be brought back to your home world and it's as if you've never left it at all. You can be there for weeks, months at a time and then one day, show back up back here and it's only been a day or so here that you've missed. I don't know if anyone else has had this experience before.

It is unpleasant.

2. I went into the tunnels to see if they were anything like the Maze I know of back in my world. There's two interesting things worth noting. The rock inside of the tunnel is different than out in the main area. Not sure if anyone's noticed this yet. It's strange.

But there's something stranger that we found in the tunnels. Deep inside, a ways in, there was a burnt computer chip. Totally useless but it was stranger than the formations almost.

That's about it. I figured it's more valuable to pool our information together rather than hog it to myself. Not going to find any answers that way. In my opinion, if there's tunnels and tunnels made out of different rock then that's got to mean there must be some sort of way out of here. Or at least another place to be found. I didn't explore the entirety of the tunnels and I don't really want to but it is possible.

If you do, run fast, take weapons, and try to remember everything. Back in the Maze, we'd send people in and they'd come back at the end of the day and record the route they took on a piece of paper.

Maybe that wouldn't be a bad place to start. It helped us figure the Maze in the end. Maybe the tunnels will be the same.

(Newt can't help but snort a little at that. He couldn't imagine Peter with a swelled head for the life of him.)

Oh, yeah. So what, am I your adopted cousin number two?

[werewolfing]

[yeah that's not really what he meant.]

Nah, you're Newt. Unless you wanna be a cousin, I guess that could be arranged. But I'm still gonna call you kitten.

[krangke]

(Well damn, Peter.)

I don't think I want to be a cousin. That feels weird.

(Yeah wonder why.)

You're not really familial to me. Mostly because of stuff like that.

[werewolfing]

[there's a pause, and then a snort, and peter opens one eye to look down at newt.]

Yeah, it does.

I didn't exactly mean familial. Just that I'm a Rumancek, and we take care of our own.

[which doesn't necessarily have to mean other rumanceks.]

[krangke]

(Newt frowns a little bit. It's not the first time he feels out of the loop with Peter and it probably won't be the last time. He looks right back up at Peter, frowning deeper yet.)

You know, I feel like I'm missing something here.

[werewolfing]

[peter pats newt's chest, slower than his heartbeat.]

You're my friend, kitten. Those are few and far between for me. So of course I take care of them.

[krangke]

(Newt's frown deepens for a moment before he eventually just sighs.)

Yeah, okay.

[werewolfing]

[peter's other hand comes down from behind his own head to rub over newt's bristly hair.]

You look disappointed. Is being the closest friend of a guy who doesn't do friends not a good enough answer?

[krangke]

No, it is.

(Except Newt still felt like something was off. It felt like it should be obvious but it just wasn't clicking into place.

And did he look disappointed? It's enough to wind his brain further and he wound up just looking up at Peter. It was probably one of the more confusing moments of his life, truth be told. Being sad and happy at the exact same time. His brow smoothed out from its confused furrow but his frown remained. Slowly though, the frown twitched into a smile.)

I'm your closest friend?

[werewolfing]

That sure is what i just said.

[he pokes newt lightly in the belly, as though scolding him for not listening.]

I don't let just anybody use me as a headrest, you know.

[krangke]

(Newt kept on staring and the gears were still rolling. He was mostly thinking about his old friends, ironically. Peter was a lot different from them and Newt's relationship with Peter was completely different too. He couldn't imagine either Minho or Tommy letting him just lay on them like this. Would he even really want to?

Well-

No wait. No.

Nope.

Wait a second. Newt slowly sat up and sat himself next to Peter, frowning again.)

Oh.

(He mumbled the word, feeling a bit stupid. Then he promptly shoves a hand over his own face and just kind of sighs.)

Yeah, no. I know. Great. And I don't just- right. Oh my god.

(He was literally so stupid. Probably the stupidest. He pushes himself right up onto his feet and gives Peter a strange sort of look.)

Right, well. I'm gonna go shower.

[werewolfing]

Um.

[so many things pass over newt's face so quickly that peter really can't catch all of them, and then newt covers up his face so that ends that.]

Oh...kay...

[he's clearly confused about why newt is suddenly so...something something, but asking seems unwise so he just doesn't, staring at the other boy with one eyebrow raised before lying down on the couch.]

I'll be here, I guess.

[krangke]

(Newt's about to walk off before he realizes how weird he was even being. In comparison to usual anyway. He slows down some and turns back around to look at Peter.)

Sorry. I just remembered something. Memories can be a little weird like that.

(Which wasn't actually a total lie. He gives Peter a small smile but at least it's a real one. He takes back off though to head to the bathroom because yeah.)

[werewolfing]

All right.

[peter still doesn't know what to think, but he's not going to push newt to talk about something he clearly doesn't want to, so he closes his eyes to catch a nap and lets the other boy go shower.]
