sure, there may be no actual currency exchanged around here, but it's hard to call living in Hadriel 'free' when those asshole parasites are sucking your emotions dry a couple times a month

I've been meaning to ask, what am I looking forward to here? Full on emotion zombies that eat up all you've got with no way to get it back, or a sort of restrained emotion vampire situation, where they open the tap but still give you a chance to recover, with plenty of rest and fluids?

the shitty part isnt so much the sucking up of emotions as it is the events they pick to encourage those emotions out of us
the manipulation, i guess
they like to do shit to push our buttons which fucking sucks

The last place I've been to had events on a somewhat predictable schedule. Helps when you know when and how long to grit your teeth and bear it. Anything like that here, or is it just happy surprises all around?
