002 [ Video ]
[ It may be an unfamiliar face to many! Malkus is actually appearing on the feed without his signature mask. Even a plague man like him needs fresh air now and then. His sickly facade wasn't far from the norm! That's just... his face. ]
Greetings fellow residents. It has been some time, but with the lull in disturbances I feel now's a better time than any to- ah-... discuss...
[ He scratched his claws against the wood of the bench outside, trying to remember what the hell he was going to say. As the pause grew, he could feel his social anxiety build.
Don't give them dead air, Malkus! The people hated pauses! ]
I am sorry, sleeping outside has left me- e-eh-... melancholic. I'd forgotten what I wanted to bring up. Ah! Yes!
[ He moved the feed to the mask sitting beside himself, placed daintily on a heap of papers and glassware. ]
As it often becomes a point of conversation, I would like to ask my fellow residents if anyone has actually had an epidemic ravage their land. I've come to realize I may be alone in this topic.

[ He bit his lip, which... actually hurt with his teeth. Sucking in a small gasp, he returned an uncomfortable sigh of his own. ]
Admittedly, although I am in the second camp I still have fond associates that agree with our captors. Wish the guard were only needed to keep the monsters in the caves at bay, but that doesn't seem to be the only case.

[ There are plenty of people in the cave who wouldn't be able to defend themselves — the monthly incidents in the colosseum demonstrate that well enough. She's happy to spend her time fighting monsters if it keeps everyone safe. ]
And while I do not trust these 'gods', I would sooner follow them than those seeking our extermination. [ God she hates the Null. ] But regardless of your personal alliances, I ask only that you do not harm others without reason.

[ Malkus nodded his head courteously towards the feed. ]
My name is Malkus Iverwelling, and you won't need to worry about me. Any harm I cause would... probably be to myself, as the result of an improper potion brewing.

Saber. [ She nods back. ] Should you come to harm, the clinic may be of use to you. Perhaps you may even offer them your own services, if your potions are of the healing sort.

[ He writhed under his robes, embarrassingly. The doctor shrunk back, sinking his head into his shoulders as he huffed. Maybe this would be the month where he finally just stormed in and extended a salutation? ]
Some can be. I've been trying to vaporize my poisons and sedatives for the sake of keeping the caves clear, but only a fool would do so without heaps and heaps of antidote and healing poultice. I'd be happy to share.
