002 [ Video ]
[ It may be an unfamiliar face to many! Malkus is actually appearing on the feed without his signature mask. Even a plague man like him needs fresh air now and then. His sickly facade wasn't far from the norm! That's just... his face. ]
Greetings fellow residents. It has been some time, but with the lull in disturbances I feel now's a better time than any to- ah-... discuss...
[ He scratched his claws against the wood of the bench outside, trying to remember what the hell he was going to say. As the pause grew, he could feel his social anxiety build.
Don't give them dead air, Malkus! The people hated pauses! ]
I am sorry, sleeping outside has left me- e-eh-... melancholic. I'd forgotten what I wanted to bring up. Ah! Yes!
[ He moved the feed to the mask sitting beside himself, placed daintily on a heap of papers and glassware. ]
As it often becomes a point of conversation, I would like to ask my fellow residents if anyone has actually had an epidemic ravage their land. I've come to realize I may be alone in this topic.

Yes to the presence of pestilence? If so, my condolences.
[ He pinched the bridge of his nose, rubbing his eyes. ]
And I agree... Rest is important. I simply need to find a proper bed in this place.

[ And surely there's a bed somewhere for him to rest... at least until someone kicks him out. ]
There are many beds.

[ Malkus was having trouble being his usual word-vomiting self, when this guy was so succinct! He had to focus on reigning his words in, thinking of the proper things to say in order to avoid another spray of dialogue. ]
But there are also many people. That didn't sound- That sounded much more poetic before I'd said it. Truly, realistically, I know! I just- need to get around to it. Too much scavenging. Smoke damaged so much potionwork!

But then something completely different catches his attention— ]
'Potionwork'...
You're a scientist...?

[ Was that the proper word for it? Malkus had the problem of choosing words that merely sounded like they'd make proper sense. ]
If I'm trapped here, I may as well further my craft. Maybe find some knowledge or inkling of a start for a cure.

What do you need? I can look while you rest.

[ He spread out some of his things, taking a brief inventory. While he had a good stock of monster fluids, he didn't actually have anything for healing. ]
Peppermint. Some grows in the orchard, I believe. I'd go but I feel a mess, so I may crawl indoors and rest.

[ He nods while seeing what he could of the man's inventory though the view is limited. ]
And I'll see... what I can find for containers.
