Video. I apologise for the crazy
"A friend told me to be wary of my life." Maglor's voice is almost merry. But there's a ring to it, an edge that draws attention.
"Slain ye shall be they warned us and we were, oh we were. O my brothers, my cousins, my bright kin! Three Ages of the world and all those I loved died around me and yet I am still here."
Maglor throws out his hands and laughs, his eyes burning silver bright and fey and his voice with a shine to it like the polished edge of a blade.
"Three Ages we stood against our Enemy and all he could throw at us, and paid in blood for every inch we held against him. But we held! Dragonfire and Balrogs and betrayal of kin and ally, but he is defeated and I remain. And now you would name me enemy? Come then and let us see if you can do what the Enemy of the World could not! But."
And his voice drops to a low croon, darkly caressing, promise in every word.
"Anyone who touches my family dies."

[There's a bright sparkle to his eye and a laugh in his voice. The Null want a war? Very well, let them try it.]
They will find we do not bow to threats so easily.
no subject
Indeed not! No armies to lead here, which makes it easier in one way, harder in another. Will you call for a council, Aranya?
...i really should have called the log "the council of fingon"
At first Fingon shoots him an unimpressed look, but the title does its work. In the next moment it is the High King staring back at Maglor, the face Fingon uses when the lives of his own are in his hands.]
I think it's time. Too many of us are threatened directly not to come together, and the rest are not out of danger. We have our friends to think of as well.
Lol but I like the current one!
True enough. I will call the others, then. Should we ask Sansa?
Then it stays!
Tell them to meet this evening at home. [Nodding] We should. This touches upon her as well.
Also you would not believe how long it took me arguing with mags to settle on "eventful"
[ They are many things, the Finweans. But one thing they are very good at is war. Morgoth himself taught them, after all, and they learnt their lessons well. ]
Dare I ask what the other options were?
I won't say no to any trusted friend, particularly any who may need protection.
[He doesn't know everyone the others have spoken to, but he'll trust their judgement.
Unless someone shows up with Ulfang again, because once was enough for eternity on that front]I suggested calamitous but mags didn't like that
good mags, stick up for your cousin
Best way to control information for now. We can reach out to others later, as needed.
He also disliked precipitous lol altho we considered dramatic
Family to begin with, then. I see others are also mobilising, but I am wary of trusting too many with our counsel.
Dramatic would have been reasonable. Of course, it also would have fitted everyone else's turn too
[When they have a better idea of the situation and a plan, hopefully, it'll be different.]
You're safe for now?
[Maybe it's silly to ask the champion survivor of the bunch, but Fingon wants to be sure.]
Sadly true XD
I am at home - I have my harp and my sword. [ He reassures - which he's more deadly with is up for debate ]
I will be careful, I promise. You?
This family /Shrugs/
Outside, but I have my sword with me. I should be home in a few minutes.
*Finweans*

[A bit sheepishly] Not with me, but in good condition.
Do we have anything for you?
no subject
[ Maglor would scold but it isn't as if there's been any need ]
I lost mine in Beleriand. I suppose I will ask Curvo or Tyelpe.
no subject
[No, one would have thought the disasters were over for at least a few days]
Both of them, maybe. You'll need it as soon as possible.

[ Maglor makes a face - as useful as it is, going around fully armored is never his idea of fun. Still, needs must ]
I will. Should we set watches?
no subject
Yes. I'll take one of the late night-shifts.
no subject
[ he points out wryly ]
Or not much, anyway. No choosing all the worst shifts! It will be better if we have a rotating system, anyway.
no subject
[Ugg, you choose the most inconvenient times to be...ok, not sensible. Maybe realistic?]
Still. Give me enough shifts that the others will have the time to put their talents to better use, at least at first.
