[Oh hey guys; Chris hadn't really planned on making this post, and it's going to be a quick one, but he'd had a thought that seemed important to mention.]

So uh, just thought I'd remind everyone that awhile back I made an app that lets you send out an SOS if you're in trouble. It's pretty easy to set up, but if anyone needs help I can probably walk you through it.

[And it's surely obvious why this announcement is being made at this time.]

Not with my app, no, though um, the GPS function is pretty easy to access to find people. It's part of why people were so hesitant to vote in Confusion.

Yeah, I figured new arrivals um, might not know about it.

[That's okay; she's in good company with people who are less than tech-savvy.]

Basically, once you install the program you can set up a list of people you trust, and a message you'd want to get sent to them in an emergency. Then once everything's programmed in, all you have to do is hit a button on your phone and it'll automatically send your message and location to everyone on your list.

[And, hopefully, someone will be nearby and able to help quickly.]

Hey, no problem; I hope it helps but also that like, you don't have to use it.

[So far he doesn't know of anyone individually using it, rather than one of the organizations doing so, and he'd like for it to stay that way if it means people are managing to avoid needing to use it.]

Just wanted to thank you for making this app. We have a setting for the Fire Brigade. And we already have the Guard version. I've set mine up with several lists, some official and some personal -- the Brigade, the Guard, the Clinic, my family, and a bunch of friends. And I've got one list that includes all three emergency services. I used that one when the city was burning down.

[ OOC: I'm pretty sure Curufin asked him for one for the Brigade a while back, so I'm assuming it was used during the recent fires! ]
