[Oh hey guys; Chris hadn't really planned on making this post, and it's going to be a quick one, but he'd had a thought that seemed important to mention.]

So uh, just thought I'd remind everyone that awhile back I made an app that lets you send out an SOS if you're in trouble. It's pretty easy to set up, but if anyone needs help I can probably walk you through it.

[And it's surely obvious why this announcement is being made at this time.]

Not with my app, no, though um, the GPS function is pretty easy to access to find people. It's part of why people were so hesitant to vote in Confusion.

I was worried about that, but my technological know-how ends right around getting speech-to-text working.

[Though see now he's confused.] I think that was before my time. What about voting in Confusion?

Oh uh, whenever Hope was going to bring back one of the other gods, he let us vote on which one. Whenever one of them came back they also like, brought stuff to the city, and Confusion set up the GPS when she came back.

...we get to vote.

[To his credit, Matt bites his tongue for the several comments he has for that and focuses on the important part.]

So since she's been back, we've been trackable through the phones they provide us with. That's a problem if anyone is skilled enough to use that in this case. But asking people to surrender their means of calling for help and communication seems foolish too.

Yeah, we did. People um, usually voted in based on the prize, actually; I think it probably like, says something that Rage was the first brought back because she was responsible for the armoury.

[It's... Sort of a joke, but not.]

It was uh, also kind of like... There were events before where we really needed to be able to find each other or people would die, and GPS would like, completely screw up an event like that.

[Which had been a lot of Chris' motivation for wanting it.]

...that's new information for me. I guess that is a little telling. Still, you can't hold it against people to want to be able to defend themselves. It's only when that goes too far that we...

Most blades tend to be double-edged, right? Helps on the one side, hurts on the other. And the app you've developed is definitely on the help side. I hope people use it.

[And don't use it as an ambush? Matt needs to pocket some of his cynicism, but it's running high right now.]

[Yeah, he can't argue with any of that, even if he'd personally found the armoury pretty useless and so is slightly salty about it.]
