[Like ... probably everyone here, Nick's pretty stressed out about the Null's recent network broadcast and extremely Tired in general, so. She's dipped into her very small supply of cigarettes and is smoking one when she turns on the feed.]

OK, if y'all are done talking about killing each other, or trying to kill each other, or actually killing each other - [she pauses to give the camera an exaggerated roll of her eyes while exhaling a small cloud of smoke] - I got a question.

[She pauses again to tap the ash off the end of her cigarette into a chipped mug she's repurposed into a makeshift ashtray, then turns back to the camera.]

When I first got back this last time, someone said there'd been talk about rebuilding what's left of Delight's bar into a café. Is anyone actually doing anything about that? 'Cause I dunno about y'all, but I could use something to do that isn't sitting around and waiting to get murdered.

[Chris loves the stupid accent, and follows it up with a surely offensive attempt at a French one.]

Well uh, it can, but we don't really have much of it. On the other hand, we do have some creamer and a package of marshmallows around somewhere, so if you want ridiculously sweet coffee that can totally be accomplished.

[ oh man SOMEONE THAT APPRECIATES HIM. Richie's face visibly lights up, slightly bucktoothed grin and all, and he adjusts his glasses. ]

Bet you can't shove the whole package of marshmallows in your mouth.

[Okay, he's not expecting that response and it's hilarious.]

Wow, is that a challenge? I would totally prove you wrong, but in this place marshmallows are actually more valuable than my pride.

[So alas, he can't bring himself to waste them.]

But uh, that said, if you can find another pack to replace them, I'll totally do it.

Someone should probably learn how to make sugar. Farm sugar? Can you farm sugar? How do you even make marshmallows? Is there a factory?

[ Hang on, sidetracked for just a moment.... ]

Uh, I think you can farm sugar; I'm pretty sure that you get it from sugarcane somehow, and sugarcane's a plant. And I think marshmallow's a plant too, but the kind of marshmallows you buy in the store aren't actually the plant-marshmallows, they're just like... Sugar and gelatin or something?

[This is an important thing to be sidetracked by.]

Okay--okay, hear me out.

[ Both hands pointing, near fingerguns: ]

After this whole Null thing, I'm totally asking one of the gods to make marshmallow trees.

Sure, yeah, I don't see why not. I mean, I normally just like, call them, but we could go talk to one in person after the whole Null stuff's over with.

[Because although Chris knows Sorrow is probably the one to ask about plants, he'd much rather bother Hope or Delight about something this ridiculous.]

[ Richie stares very, very hard. He's still stuck on the first thing he said, don't mind him, until-- ]

Who do you ask to get contacts? Or to just not need glasses anymore?

Uh, probably Hope. He's the one who does the healing stuff, so he could probably improve your eyesight.

[Chris hadn't honestly thought about it before, since his vision isn't that bad and he doesn't mind his glasses, but he'd guess Hope would be the right one to ask about this.]

For real? You're not shitting me, are you? I could get rid of this bullshit forever?

I mean, I can't say for sure he can do it, but yeah I'm pretty sure he could. He'd probably ask you to like, inspire hope in a bunch of people first, though.

Inspire hope? How the hell are we supposed to do that?

Man, don't ask me, that's why I usually don't make deals with him even though he's my favorite.
