this time, there's no fumbling with the phone, no going out of focus, Marg has successfully conquered her phone. and the sewing shop is dust-free and bolts of fabric can be seen in the distance]

[Marg bustles about the shop, making sure that all is neat and tidy]

Hello! Are you ready for the finished product?

Hi...yeah, thanks. That's some good news for today.

[now that he's seeing her face to face again, after all that dream activity, Law turns a bit shy, sticking his hands in the pockets of his jeans.]

I'm glad. Have you been having a rough day?

[Marg is going to bring the dream up, just give her a moment to find the right time]

I've been busy the last few. [sigh] My first near-murder victim here. It seems some people are already taking the Null up on their offer.

[she's horrified. not for her own sake but for the person attacked]

Yeah. I got there in time, he'll heal up just fine. [with a small head-shake] Be on your guard, Margaery-ya. It's possible anyone who ended up on the list could be targeted.

[as she did. He's aware.]

Thank goodness. [she bites her lower lip] I will. [small laugh] I'm afraid I'd be an easy target. I've taken lessons in swordplay, but I'm under no illusions that I'd do any good against a truly determined opponent.

From what it sounds like, to me, the Guard can be trusted for the most part. I'll be watching the clinic for some time, so if nothing else, head there if you need help.

[he's literally got his hands full with this, already. Yeesh.]

[she's trying to not be afraid. it's mostly working]

Who all is on the Guard? I'm afraid that I know little about them. I do know where the clinic is, though.

[Margaery has just been trying to go about her days like normal and mostly succeeding]

I've met two or three, on accident. Most of them seem to be the forthright and honorable types.

[sniff. He's a pirate, he can't endorse that sort of behavior. But the information should be useful to Marg, especially as he chatters while waiting.]

That will be a nice change, after the corruption of the Gold Cloaks.

[Marg returns bearing a paper wrapped package. inside is his flag. it's fairly large and sewed to what she approximates would be the right size for sailing on a ship]

[ooh! He tears open just part of the paper, enough down the middle to see the emblem for himself, and Marg gets to see him completely unguarded for a moment. He brushes a hand over the smile, transported for a second or two.]

[Marg, you have no idea how happy you've made him]

[Margaery watches his reaction. evidentially, she did something right. she's pleased to just watch him look at it]

It is? Thank you! I was hoping it would be.

[she's getting an idea from his reaction]

We're friends. It was the least I could do for you.

[one and only chance to watch him wibble, it's probably worth it]

[especially since he's wearing a blood-stained t-shirt, it might even be a mutual benefit there]

It was my pleasure. And all you have to do to get fabric is to tell Delight a happy memory. You even get to keep it.

[yes, he looks in need of a new shirt]

I have, I suppose. What with working here, chasing after children, and those dreams.

So, it worked, then. [obviously, but still...] That seems reasonable enough.

[give him time and fewer distractions and he'll be back begging for a new sexy sweatshirt, fabric in hand]

Ah...yeah. The dreams. It wasn't until I talked with other people that I even realized it wasn't just a dream, that others experienced the same thing.

Yes, it did. And she was very kind. [laughs] It was a breath of fresh air after dealing with Hope and Rage. Neither of them seemed terribly competent.

[she will be happy to provide one]

Yes. It was so strange. It truly felt that what I was dealing with was real.

[he clutches his flag to his chest, turning a bit awkward again]

I'm sorry you had to see any of what you did, from my mind. Well. Except maybe the bit with my crewmates.

[that one's a little more fuzzy, given time and distance and the less visceral feeling of his usual nightmares, but he knows she was there]

[she smiles at him encouragingly]

Your crew was charming and the town were were in was lovely. [she pauses a moment] I just wish I could have been more help against Doflamingo.

[a slow shake of his head]

It doesn't matter. The nightmare recurred several times that night, I couldn't escape it no matter who was there or what was done. [except once, but. Shh.] That's the nature of dreams. I suppose it was only doing what it did because of my own thoughts.

Yeah. [and in that answer is every reason to be afraid of what might happen if he shows up here, through the unbiased Door] My worst enemy. I regret that you were treated to a crash course in what my life is really like.
