[Here's a face no one's seen for the last three weeks or so: one very bewildered-looking Kamina, incredibly grimy and probably not smelling too fresh, from the looks of him. There's a very ragged bag over one shoulder, and what looks like the remains of several yeti furs behind him as he frowns into the camera.]

Yo, Kamina here. What's the hell's going on? I'm gone for a week and it sounds like there's been a war. Someone wanna tell me what I missed?

[Glad to see another familiar face, Kamina grins, but he definitely can't miss that bandage.]

I'm sure you did the best you could, man. It doesn't look like you gave up!

Of course not! [lloyd shakes his head firmly, fierce determination in his eyes even after the fact.]

I just wish I'd had magic to help fix people like my friends.

I don't know about magic, man. All I have is my sword and my fighting spirit! But it's always better to have your team at your side, watching your back.

Did a lot of people get hurt in all this?

[He seems at least a little more serious than he usually is.]

Yeah. [lloyd's eyes soften a bit here fondly.] They were really good at that.

More than I could help. [he confirms with a very small nod.] Between the people that were sick and the people they hurt. It's a lot crueler than the regular monsters in the cave. [pitting everyone against each other. it really wasn't fair.

but so few things in life were unfortunately.]

You're tellin' me. That's really messed up, turning people into monsters that eat other people. I wasn't a fan of these gods before, I'm sure as hell not a fan now, you know? They better watch their backs!

Guess if there are people dying, we should probably set up some place to bury them. Maybe off towards the south part of town or something, I dunno. This ain't exactly my strong suit.

[He rubs the back of his head, for once looking a little uncomfortable.]

[lloyd's expression twists up into a frown, but he doesn't seem to be in any sort of hurry to argue with kamina on the issue of the "gods". he'd tried giving hope the chance to actually work with them, and he obviously has no intention to do so.

he'd really hoped it wouldn't come down to fighting again here. that just once talking would be enough.]

We had something kind of like this back home, but they weren't called Wendigos. And we managed to figure out a way to save those people. But even if I had the unicorn horn with me now, I wouldn't be able to use it.

But none of this had to happen. [he knows it didn't. if the gods would actually explain things to them for once, they might have been able to prevent this, rather than just react to it.]

We should probably make them some kind of headstone too, right? It doesn't seem right to just bury them without a word.

[Whatever the hell they are, they're going down. He's not changing his mind on that. Anyone who takes him away from his team is gonna pay! But for now...well, for now there are some more immediate issues. Even he knows you can't just leave dead bodies lying around, they make people sick. And it's just not right. They deserve something more than just a hole in the ground, he knows that now.]

You're right. It's all their fault, the guys who brought us here. And someday, we're gonna make 'em sorry!

For now, though, I think we better take care of the humans here. And yeah, a headstone. My bro was great at making statues of people, too bad he isn't here now to help. Maybe someone can write on them?
