[What Kamina means to say is the following:

Hey, Hadriel! Don't let Sorrow get you down! Hell, don't let any of the gods tell you what to feel or how! We might not have their power, but we've got something better--fighting spirit! And if we combine, that fighting spirit will be stronger than they can ever dream of! Team Gurren is the embodiment of that fighting spirit, of our real hopes and dreams, not the ones the gods hand us! If you wanna come learn what Gurren spirit is all about, come meet me out on the northern edge of the city by the caves!

...What the listeners hear is something entirely different. Just...with Kamina's face attached to it.

[For anyone who manages to decipher his message past the glitch, or happens by, Kamina will be out in the clearing between town and caves every day just after noon for a few hours. Once he finally realizes what's been happening to his messages--probably the 14th or so--he'll also be around advertising the old-fashioned way: with his lungs and very excitable gestures. Or feel free to find him anywhere!]

[So, turns out Sorrow-induced insomnia combined with generally staying inside so as not to tell everyone in the whole world everything awful that you've ever done has an upside. It's great for getting things done, especially when that thing is something he feels guilty about not having finished sooner.

He hasn't actually figured out the event is over by the time he makes this post, having been awake all night, though he does feel a little bit better than before and so offers a small smile to start the whole thing off.]

Hey, um, everyone.

[And he pauses, because he probably should've thought this announcement out a little more, but whatever.]

So I uh, finished something less fun than emojis, but probably a little more practical? I mean, it'd be better if we had a GPS system [--come on guys you totally voted for the wrong god--] but we can always add that part into it later.

Basically, um, it's a program that lets you set up an emergency message and who you want to send it to, and then just hit one button to send it. So if you're like, in danger or hurt or something and can't type or call someone but can hit a button, someone'll at least know you need help and go looking for you.

[And hopefully that could help someone, even a little, whenever the next horrible thing happens here.]

If anyone needs help like, setting it up, just let me know and I can probably get it going for you. It should be pretty simple though, so don't worry if you're not like, super tech savvy.

[And attached is a download for the program, which installs simply enough and includes a customizable message and a list of people to send it to. Once set up, a button will appear on the lock screen of the phone, and hitting it is all that's needed to send a message; any future changes to the message or receiver list can still be made through the main app.]

[The screen turns on to show one very blue eye super close while he tries to figure out how to make sure this thing is recording. Then it pulls back to show all of Scout's head, a huge shit eating grin on his face. The camera jiggles around as he wedges it into something and then steps back so his whole torso is in frame.]

Aight. So listen up guys. I've been here for like [He counts on his fingers.] three months now. And I realized what this place is missing.

I mean other than a whole lotta this on the network, I've been letting you guys down and I'm sorry bout that. Next time ladies, [He winks and makes finger guns at the screen. How can anyone resist.]

Nah but, there ain't no sports here. Everyone just wandering around doing their own thing. And that's cool I guess, but how much cooler would it be if we had a baseball team?

So yeah. I'm gonna start one. Anyone game?

[Here's a face no one's seen for the last three weeks or so: one very bewildered-looking Kamina, incredibly grimy and probably not smelling too fresh, from the looks of him. There's a very ragged bag over one shoulder, and what looks like the remains of several yeti furs behind him as he frowns into the camera.]

Yo, Kamina here. What's the hell's going on? I'm gone for a week and it sounds like there's been a war. Someone wanna tell me what I missed?

This is exhausting. You are all exhausting, with your constant need for food and water and not dying.

I could use a break. There are too many monsters in the caves, and keeping them in takes more of my power than I'd like. If you'd be so kind as to kill a few for me, I can offer you rewards in return, including some blessings. Besides, I'm sure you have some anger to work out after Fear's ridiculous stunt with the coffins.

And if anyone has any suggestions as to how I could conserve some power, I'd appreciate it. You don't need to eat every day, do you? That seems excessive.

[Maybe you know Kamina, maybe you don't. Either way, his voice probably sounds unfamiliar. For one, he isn't even half as animated as he usually is, and his voice is considerably closer to normal volume. There's still plenty of determination there, though, and confidence in spades.]

Hey, listen up! Kamina here. I know some of you didn't get buried with the rest of us. It's up to you to get digging! We're all part of the same team here, and we're counting on you!

Listen, I know cave-ins. I grew up in a pit like this one. Everyone else who's stuck, don't worry! Help is on the way. They're gonna find us! And if you can't believe in that, believe in me! We've got at least a day or two of air in these things. Just save your breath, don't panic, and we're gonna get outta here just fine!

And then, we can give those so-called gods a good ass-kicking like they need!

[Nick's voice is raspier than usual, the way voices get when their owners have been screaming, or crying, or possibly both.]

You know what, you motherfucker? I'm coming back to haunt your ass after I'm dead. See how you like it.

[The woman who appears on-screen does not look particularly angry, or even that getting angry is something she makes a habit of beyond possibly rolling her eyes when a barista writes her name wrong on a Starbucks cup. She's standing against a nondescript stone wall much like Hope was in his first broadcast.

After a moment, a mildly curious expression resolves itself into a perfectly pleasant smile that appears to be entirely sincere in nature.]

While I can't say I enjoyed having to be brought back at all, that was a wonderful welcome you creatures gave me and I wanted to thank you for it. It's like you couldn't even control how much rage you were expelling.

I see many of you have had a look at my armory, I hope you enjoy it. Keep up the good work and I'll keep you as well stocked as you keep me.

[ Now that she feels the anger within her starting to fade away to tolerable levels, it's time to address the others. Somehow she feels it's what that boy with the poet's name would want even if these devices were nothing like she's seen before, coming from the nineties and all. If they existed back home, would he get her one? It's something to think about but it isn't something to share. ]

So. [ Shiki, who has spent her life avoiding small talk and idle chatter makes an attempt at it in the best way she can. ]

[Onlookers are treated to the shaky camera work of none other than Haurchefant. There's a bit of jostling as he's attempting to figure out if it's working or not—technology is not his forte—but once the realization hits, he settles and the camera does as well.]

—Greetings, my friends!

[He seems pretty enthusiastic, which is a little strange considering where they are.]

I am Lord Haurchefant, however I realize that such a title holds little weight here.

Regardless, I come to you not as a lord, but as an equal, beseeching every last man and woman to hearken to me. We are but comrades suffering a similar fate, and as such we must come together.

[He gestures widely with his hands, a smile present on his features.]

We should foster camaraderie in a place so stricken with peril around every turn—we must find succor within the company of one another, and aid those who cannot aid themselves. Divided we will become nothing more than meager scraps for the fiends that skulk about in the shadows, mere marionettes for the will of these so-called gods; if we but can come together, and work in unity—we will be triumphant against such unfavorable odds.

What divine folly brought us here matters not, but what does is what we do together in this reprehensible situation we find ourselves in.

[With no small ounce of determination, he clenches his fist.]

I implore those who have combat prowess and skill to aid those who are not so fortunate, and for those who might yet hold interest in learning some modicum of self defense—I was a garrison commander from whence I hail, and to that end I am willing to teach those who are willing to learn.

We are all brothers and sisters suffering the same fate, and to that end we must assist one another, so that this burden does not crush us all beneath its arduous weight!
