[Newt has definitely not been up all night building salamander-proof enclosures out of spare Null parts so the fact that he sounds both tired and revved up on way too much coffee is just your imagination.]

Two questions, Hadriel. One: Tell me about the cave monsters. What all has crashlanded here before I got here? Specifically, I'm looking for stuff that a person could feasibly, like, catch. Or at least put down and drag into town for some post-mortem studying. This includes stuff that might be a good food source, maybe? I don't know. Depends on what's out there.

[The food source thing is secondary in his mind, but the masses don't need to know that. He's already expecting to catch some flak for this.]

And two: Anyone got some time to help me wrangle some salamanders, at least? I'm thinkin' two should be good. I'd like to grab some other stuff too, but again, depends on what's out there. Gonna start with the salamanders for now.

in my world though, where a lot of leylines intersect is usually a point that the demon and human worlds blend easier
where people end up getting spirited away to the makai

they're not super common. there's really strong points in japan where, like I said, people are spirited away a lot

and it wasn't relevant until now
it's kind of the point to look like an normal person, i'd rather people be comfortable around me than terrified

but as i've come to learn, i'm not really as scary as I should be to most people

Hmm maybe? The one I keep running into a big black wolf but its definitely sentient. I saw it during the Null invasion and it was carrying a backpack full of Null parts. It could unzip the backpack with its teeth and everything.
It helped me get back into the lab when it was surrounded by Null. So uhh if that was your wolf tell it I said thanks.
I'm pretty sure it was the same wolf as in the dream.
Wait actually I think he told me his name in the dream? Damn. I don't remember what it was.
Oh well I guess. We're bound to cross paths again eventually. Like a big wolf is gonna be hard to miss in this town.
