[She's had time...a few days at least... to sort through things while working to help others. She's holding together as best as she can, but she knows that things here are complicated.]

I'm sure that it's been asked before by others, but I've yet to really find anyone that I can talk to regarding this. So, I've decided to address as many as possible at one time.

[She stalling, she knows she is. And that's not like her. After biting her bottom lip momentarily, she just decides to face the problem head on.]

Has anyone else run into time paradoxes? People from the past and people from the future coexisting when they really shouldn't? Meeting those that otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to do so?

How do you deal with it?

[After she asks that question, her demeanor changes.]

Are there any particular projects that can use a slightly disoriented politician that is out of her element?

It's taken me a long time to get my head around it. I'm more grateful for the opportunity than I can say, but it's overwhelming sometimes. And that isn't even what is most complicated about this place in regards to our world.

I try to tell myself, though, that the Force brought me here for a reason, and to try to make the most of it. Even so, I still often feel the same way you do.

I'm not sure I believe in the Force having a part in this. It's difficult for those who aren't Force-Sensitive to rest back on that. It's too convenient in a complicated world to say "The Force did it".

That actually is true for sure here. I still don't know much about the gods, but I think somehow that they're more at work here than the Force is. I'm glad to have been brought here, though, despite the recent situation.

There are many who don't think they are gods, from what I've gathered, but they certainly are powerful. Capriciousness doesn't necessarily make them omnipotent.

What makes you glad that you've come here, considering the difficulties?

That's very true. I'm not entirely sure either, other than that they are powerful.

It's the chance I never got back home. I've wanted for so long to meet my parents. To get to know them. Now I have that chance, and it's so precious to me. I'm sorry more of the family isn't here, but I'm treasueing what I've been granted.

As a Jedi, you should know that not everyone who is powerful would be a god, Master Skywalker.

[She still cannot call him by her son's name. If she keeps a certain distance, she can keep her sanity long enough to really have the shock wear off.]

Yes...I suppose this is an opportunity that we will never have back on our respective worlds. That is a good way to look at it.

Yes, of course. [That didn't go as smooth as he'd hoped. He just hopes it isn't always that way.] It's really hard to know what to think about them or what they really are.

[He nods. He doesn't want to push her. He knows she's still shocked and that's why she's calling him by his formal name. ] And I promise nothing will be pushed or forced. Whatever happens, I want it to come naturally, at your pace.

Only time will tell what their true intentions are. No one can keep up a facade for a long time, no matter how much power they have and accumulate.

[Conversations with Amidala are always hard. Eventually, she might feel comfortable enough to have that tough exterior set aside so they can know one another. Although, even if he doesn't mean to, his words hurt and she responds with the coolness she has cultivated like an art form.]

I suppose it would have to be at my own pace if we are to have any sort of relationship. I'm sure that you're aware enough that attempting to push others into things you want is the best way to ensure you get nothing.

[He nods.]

Yes, I definitely am.

[His father for example...he begged and pleaded for so long before Anakin finally broke free of Vader and came back to the light.]

I'll give you time and space and whenever you're ready to talk more, you can just let me know. I do talk with father sometimes. We're starting to get to know each other.

[Dark eyes narrow as she looks through the communication device at the face of her son, her grown son. It's hard to read his face, to know what sort of man he is. And that has nothing to do with the fact that he was trained by both Obi-Wan and Yoda. This is a man who has lived through Palpatine as ruler of the entire galaxy.

This is a man she doesn't know.]

I am not your father. [She is worse.] And the best way to get to know someone is to talk to them besides, Master Skywalker.

[He nods.] Of course, of course.

Is there...anything you'd like to talk about? Or know?

[angelofnaboo]

Not at this moment, no.

[She drops the hard look and closes her eyes.]

Perhaps we can speak again. Later.

[He nods]
