[She's had time...a few days at least... to sort through things while working to help others. She's holding together as best as she can, but she knows that things here are complicated.]

I'm sure that it's been asked before by others, but I've yet to really find anyone that I can talk to regarding this. So, I've decided to address as many as possible at one time.

[She stalling, she knows she is. And that's not like her. After biting her bottom lip momentarily, she just decides to face the problem head on.]

Has anyone else run into time paradoxes? People from the past and people from the future coexisting when they really shouldn't? Meeting those that otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to do so?

How do you deal with it?

Are there any particular projects that can use a slightly disoriented politician that is out of her element?

You would hardly be the first to experience such an anomaly in time, and I doubt that you will be the last.

As for dealing with it... I suppose that rests with the nature of the people you are dealing with. [Some being better than others to run into in places such as these.]

With the city in disarray, I am certain there are ways of keeping busy for everyone.

I suppose that's true. I won't claim any sort of right that makes me more important than anyone else.

As for the nature of the people, I'm not sure. I don't know that it's possible to really know who people are.

That's... A complicated situation. Knowing someone's future, or past, that they don't is a hard place to be.

I've kind of been there, but meeting immortals or having your memory whiped isn't exactly the same.

No, it's not quite the same, but it sounds just as complicated. Knowing the future seems like a terrible burden. And while I'm not afraid of carrying it, the other party's reaction might not go well if they find out. Especially from another person.

Are the two of you able to communicate despite the time difference? Or has that made it difficult?

If you're asking what I've found in regards to projects, nothing concrete. Hence why I am reaching out now.

I have, meeting others from my past was an interesting chain of events. It's an opportunity you would not otherwise have. I initially took it rather hard. In hindsight I might be able to admit I did not cope with it as well as I would have hoped I would.

As one politician to another, I can tell you that the rule of law here, even before this place was in such disarray, was extremely lax. People here seem to distrust law and government and any attempt to organize such and hold individuals to a standard.

I'm working on building irrigation lines for the burned grove,and anyone interested in planting seeds. In this heat, the crops will need a little more help to survive. If you're interested, I'm happy for the help. And maybe some talk.

[He missed politics. He really did. He even missed reading 100 page reports on profit and growth assessments of cabbage and other agricultural foodstuffs for the second quarter. Ag, the things he'd do to read a report like that again....]

It is not myself that I am worried for. I realize that there are things that will happen after my time that I have no control of and have made my peace with it. [Dying will do that.] There are others here that my presence complicates because of things.

[How do you tell your husband that he's sort of responsible for the death of children and your own? It's complicated.]

I can see why that would be the case. There seems to be many worlds represented from just the small pool of people that I have spoken with. Attempting to formulate any sort of government that would be fair for everyone that goes beyond the concepts of not imposing on others' basic rights would be chaotic at best.

[She might be a career politician, but she's always been a humanitarian and she understands that trying to impose what happens where she is from is not how things are always done. Tatooine was a hard lesson in that regard.]

Yep, someone from my world is ten years ahead of me. And from what I understand, I not anywhere nearby in her present, so we've never actually met...outside here, so it's weird.

[She then heaves a sigh.]

She also remembers -or remembered, it's a long story- a different Hero of Ferelden, someone who's not me. Which is a little off-putting, because who wants someone else to take credit for what they've done? I saved Ferelden, the least people can do is remember that.

Ten years is quite a difference, but to totally be written out of the events of your history and to have your accomplishments given to another... I'm not sure that I would be able to take that very well.

[Especially considering all she did to avoid the Clone Wars and to help save the Republic. She's sure that she's been obliterated from history, thanks to Sheev Palpatine.]

How have you handled things since your arrival?

That is wise advice and I believe I will take it to heart.

It only answers half the equation,
but I suppose that those seeking advice shouldn't dismiss any pearls of wisdom.

It's taken me a long time to get my head around it. I'm more grateful for the opportunity than I can say, but it's overwhelming sometimes. And that isn't even what is most complicated about this place in regards to our world.

I try to tell myself, though, that the Force brought me here for a reason, and to try to make the most of it. Even so, I still often feel the same way you do.

I'm not sure I believe in the Force having a part in this. It's difficult for those who aren't Force-Sensitive to rest back on that. It's too convenient in a complicated world to say "The Force did it".

This place is full of time paradoxes.

[So yeah, Mello's encountered a few - the man he idolized as a child, dead for years, returned to life and brought here, for example. Mello himself was dead by Near's perspective, when he'd arrived.]

You deal with it by accepting that it's true.

And I don't doubt the truth of the situation. I merely find myself unsure about what-if any-information I should share.

I'm afraid it's a side effect of the wormhole that brought us here, dear heart. If it's your first experience with time travel, it can be rather disorienting.

I recommend tequila to mitigate the psychic shock.

I'm not really worried about the effects it might have on me, but on someone else. What I know...could devastate them.

And I'd rather not do that.

How close are you to the person that you're having the time paradox with? Is avoiding them easy for you?

I have met persons from my future here, and those who I knew to be already deceased.

[Sadly, none of those people are in Hadriel any longer and have been returned to their respective fates. He thinks of one in particular quite often.]

It is a jarring experience... but it can offer unique opportunities.

[But then, his expression relaxes just a little, and he almost smiles.]

I might name a few projects, particularly after our recent upheaval... but as an entirely displaced royal adviser, I might offer a sympathetic ear as well.

Jarring... Yes, that's a good word for it, but what sort of opportunities did you find for yourself in interactions with those from different times?

[If she thinks about it clinically, she can have this conversation. And it's nice to know that she's not the only one in quite a varying situation.]

Someone has offered me an opportunity to help with replanting crops. It sounds as good a job as any. Royal adviser, hm? I had a few of those in my time. I perhaps only listened to them when it suited what I was going to do anyway.

[She was a good queen, or at least her people thought so.]

I ran into it. Although the ones from the future were mostly trying to kill me. My husband only exists because of such a paradox, though. It's a lot to deal with. I just haven't had much time to think, too busy fighting to stay alive.

Mostly I just try to tell myself that hopefully our timeline won't get changed anymore, and that at least I'm not dealing with it on my own.

I'm not sure that I can trust those that are here from my...world. Trust is earned and I'm not ready to had it out.
