All right, guys. I guess you probably already know where this is going. I managed to catch Delight before she could get out of here, so now we just have to decide what to do with her. Needless to say, we can't agree, and anyway what she did hurt you guys just as much as it did us.

So this decision is gonna be up to you. Obviously there are some options that aren't available - we're not just gonna let her go free. That would be pretty dumb, right? But a lot of us don't want the more extreme options, either.

We'll tell you how we feel in a reply to this. Think about it yourselves, and vote. You'll have about a week to decide.

Man. This sucks.

You know... for all my time being here I never really believed that you or the other gods cared about us beyond our use to you as mere fuel. One could perhaps argue that I simply was not looking close enough, but at the end of the day, you still trap us here-- many of us against our will-- and choose to subject us all to pain and torture and anguish over and over again just to further your own ends. I never had reason to believe that there was more to any of you than that inherent, selfish drive to survive no matter what-- no matter how much suffering you have to cause in the process.

So... thank you. Thank you for showing me that there can be more to your species than that. I may not agree with some of your methods--
[for example, he can never abide something that endangers innocents, and that hit list put a lot of people at risk of serious harm--] but I also do not agree with everyone else who thinks your betrayal automatically paints you as some irredeemable, untrustworthy soul. You were the only one willing to stand up to the other gods and try to change things for the better for all of us. To not just send us home-- [which is a big enough deal as is for the displaced ice alien--] but to make it so that the other gods could never reach us again. My people have a belief: that the good of the many should be placed before the few. And that is what you sought to pursue, sacrificing the freedom of the rest of your dying kind for the good of not just countless other people, but countless other species.

[And to Glacius, this is as it should be; if a species is powerful enough to pluck up beings by the handful from various worlds, and self-interested and unhinged enough to subject them to every form of torture imaginable, well... perhaps they don't have a place in any universe. Hard decisions have to be made for its betterment, to ensure peace and safety throughout; it's something he is all too familiar with. But he doesn't articulate any of that; what he's said already is the most any self-proclaimed god ever has and likely ever will get out of the alien marshal, not just in relation to himself or his culture but simply in general. Even now he ends it on a somewhat clipped note, as he's feeling no particular urge to explain himself further or to bare his more dissentious opinions.] I will opt for your survival so long as you seem to share in this view. I can only hope you don't find a way to bring more death to our doorstep; there has been so much of that already.

Thank you. I appreciate all that you've written.

An imprisonment here is a death, albeit a slower one- but I suppose if there's any preference to be had in the options, it would be nice to be with the others of my species until the end.

... That last part is also something I can sympathize with. [Strange, how he'd never felt and ounce of understanding or sympathy for any of their captors until this supposedly "terrible" act.]

Why does it mean death? Because you will not be able to siphon emotions from us?

Because the Null will come for us again. They will not give you the option of coexistence this time. They will kill us all.
