What does an umbrella look like? What is it used for? (She is incredibly curious - like usual - and she wonders if she can't fashion something together with the aid of her friends.)

It's like... a hollowed out semi-circle? It's usually made with some kind of fabric with wire to make it hold shape.

[ He attempts to draw the shape out with his hands, probably making it really confusing. A drawing would have done better. ]

It's used a lot to keep from getting wet but you could also use them to make shade.

The fabric would not be difficult to cut and prepare. The wire, however, and the form it must take is the part that confuses me.
