hey guys when are we finally gonna name this planet? something COOL. because i got some good ones!

what if we call it "the extreme teen bi-ball"? for the two suns! or "spume"! i think spume is a pretty good one.

how do we vote on this? who's got ideas? if we get enough we could just use a different one every day. yknow keep it fresh!

(i've come back from hiatus to say. 1. he icly forgot all about offering dance lessons probably within a week of doing it, and 2. if anyone wants/needs to discuss handwaving an old thread, my office hours are open.) ]

I think most half-bloods learn that lesson when dad or mom forgets your birthday. Or your name. Or that they had a kid to begin with.

You choose your family.

But it wouldn't hurt if they could remember birthday gifts. It might make some kids a lot less bitter.

if i know one thing about parenting its that remembering dates is hard as hell.
BUT youre still supposed to keep trying! if you miss one you got a whole new one coming to try again! i mean you gotta still try at all.

Good parents usually don't forget their kids birthdays for their entire lives. But I guess there are some things you just accept about your parents.

i have a couple. theyre not here of course. if i'm lucky the door is gonna keep it that way!

the oldest one is like 12. young teen age.

Good. You just never know.

And 12 year olds can do some amazing things. I've seen it. Don't write them off. But I understand wanting to keep them safe.

oh sure they can, yeah. doesnt seem fair to put em up to it. like how many spell slots can they even have?

you know i think id rather take kids around teaching em how to get by on an adventure! a whole controlled thing where someone with a few more levels can watch their backs while they figure it out!

yeah i mean you only get so many to burn in a day or whatever
there's like a whole system i don't pay a lot of mind to it
when ive got magic i just try to cast shit and maybe it works, maybe i dont have the juice

Oh. Like an allowance? Or like how everyone's abilities have certain cut offs? I can heal but it's going to take a lot out of me if it's a bad injury.

yeah kinda like that. things you can do, things you can't do, only so much juice to go around!
