[for once, not using voice or video. He doesn't want to appear weak and, well, his voice is already raspy enough, don't want to lose it]
quick survey, who is feeling ill? from the cases I've seen this could be a widespread outbreak but I don't want the lot of you turning up at the clinic and infecting each other unless it's serious.
rest and fluids unless you have a serious fever, aches, or trouble breathing. I have medications to relieve some symptoms but nothing to cure it.
caution: I cannot find a source of the infection. it behaves like influenza but there is no virus to be found. believe me I've tried. lack of virus may mean it won't actually spread but I have a very bad feeling about this. I haven't been ill since I was thirteen and yet it got me. I should be able to remove viruses from my system but there is nothing to remove. that means this is dangerous. an epidemic, maybe.
[yeah there's that paranoia setting in...]
limit contact with the ill unless it's an emergency. don't come crying to me if your nose is a little runny, I don't want to see you unless you're about to die.

You know, there's making certain everyone is washing their hands and coughs in their sleeve, and there's telling everyone there's an epidemic going around and you can't find the cause.
You do realize how this sounds right? Communities get sick, especially when viruses are easily transmittable.
So...maybe if you could not, like, cause our already stressed out and paranoid patients to panic? That'd be super awesome.
Do you need
someone saneanother doc to take a look at you? It might be a good idea.[Otherwise known as he was going to come find you. Where ever you are. Your choices were limited, Law.]
Audio
I don't sugar-coat the diagnosis. If it could be a potentially deadly epidemic, I want these idiots to know. Maybe then they'll take the warning seriously.
I'm. [fine? no, obviously not] A second opinion isn't going to improve my condition any more than extracting non-existent viruses would be.
Re: Audio
Has anyone actually died yet?
[Law could probably hear Will practically scowling at him.]
No, but a second opinion from someone who has experience treating magical illnesses might. Ever treated a case of chronic Irish step dancing? I can't make it go away, but I might be able to make you more comfortable.
[Besides, right now Law? You were on Will's shit list.]
Audio
Chronic what? I said I'm fine, leave me be.
Re: Audio
Don't be such a drama queen.
[And having Apollo as a dad? Will knew drama queens.]
Everyone will be fine. It's a nasty bug--and yes, magical or not magical, it's still a bug. And you hyping people up isn't going to help. If things do get bad, we want to make sure that they know to come to the clinic. Not...panic in the streets.
Chronic Irish step dancing. It's not fun. You can't stop dancing for hours. days. Easily fixable though. Haven't had a case here, luckily.
Also you really do sound terrible.

Voice
[He doesn’t sound sick, yet, but definitely tired.]
My people don’t become ill. Not without outside influence.
Voice
Neither do I but I have my own reasons why. What do you think it is?
Voice
I suppose Curufin is volunteering to be evidence. He’s not the only one in the House; Celebrimbor is ill as well.
This is not normal, Law. Elves are far less vulnerable to disease than Men are; treating illnesses like this drowned out healers half-mad when we first encountered them. It might be different here. I don’t know, I am not Elrond.
[This would be the moment for the most experienced healer of the bunch of them to disappear]
But I would not bet on this being natural.
Voice
[if it is the gods, that is. If it's something to do with the terrain or recent developments or maybe one of the newbies has a power that went out of control, well...he has no way to immediately discern that.]
Don't fall victim to it yourself, Fingon-ya. We should have extra masks at the clinic, wear one so you don't breathe the same air as them. Wash your hands after touching them.
