So, uh, I was kind of wondering. How many people here died before they came here? And how many are now immortal?

- I think so too. Hadriel's not so bad. Even the lowest points haven't been anything close to what Haven was.

[she winces] Ugh. I'm sorry.

Haven sounded like a total shithole. I'm glad you got outta there. Here, at least the gods only pull their bullshit for a week or so. And so far, the Null haven't caught up to us.

It was. I'm glad, too- Just wish more people could've been taken here with me.

But maybe someday I'll find my way back to them instead.

It's... really weird, yeah. Really hard to deal with, too. I keep comparing him to the Newt I knew and he got angry about it.

[brave is just a nicer word for reckless. and they probably would be happy to see her, period, changes or no changes]

I can imagine. I've been close to people who've left. I'd fucking hate it if they came back and were--different somehow.

Yeah, it's. Definitely an adjustment.

But I'll make it. I always do. Not the first time it's happened, really, just- Never anyone I was so close to.

How do you do it?

You're good at that. Making it. I wish I could figure out how to do it.

You just keep going. I wish I could say something profound and wise, but- You just don't fucking give up.

Even when you really want to. Even when someone else has to give you a reason to. You just gotta'.

That's hard for me. Not giving up. I had given up before I died. Figured I'd lead a boring life I hated and there was nothing I could do about it. Then, I died. Things changed.

Yeah, dying definitely has a way of changing things. Especially when it isn't permanent. Kind of throws a wrench into a lot of works.

[short, bitter laugh] Tell me about it. I got a front-row seat of my family imploding and there wasn't a damn thing I could do about it.

What did it do to you? If. If it's not too much to ask?

I got to know everyone I cared about was shoved into a cold storage - or worse - as I bled out on the dirt.

And then I woke up here with no way to get back to them or any idea how to help.

...okay. You win as far as shitty outcomes goes.
