okay gang time to get into a LITTLE philosophy with your pal professor merle. put your ass to the grass and talk this out. stay in school with me. don't be a loser!

now, hypothetically. in terms of this whole killer robots thing, since we can probably all agree they're assholes and they kinda make snags for us.

if you had a question you wanted to forward to one of the NORMAL killer robots who DOESN'T wanna be our friend, what's at the top of your list? assuming there's only time for like two questions before you get murdered, i mean. in the spirit of negotiation.

or heck, you know what? if you don't wanna think any up, save us all the trouble and just tell me what kinda VIBE you'd want a question to have. vibes are way easier. like cool teenager? hardboiled detective? big whiny baby? all that stuff.

Like sixty-eight. But y'know, I've always partied pretty hard like that! I don't recommend it as a hobby or anything.

Ehhh, more of a necessity thing. Had someone to talk to, he was kind of a douchebag. And we were gettin' free resets for a while, so it didn't hurt to try. Except for the part where I got my ass killed.

You were talking to Death? [Well...She can see how that might be helpful.]

More like a, uh. See, we got this little problem called the Hunger. And it's about as much of a pain as these robots. Y'know, wants to eat the universe or whatever. Get rid of everything. And I used my setup to chat with the guy who was callin' the shots! And he murdered me-- a few times. Most of the time. Pretty much every time.

Plays a good game of chess. I'll be honest, I'm still not sure exactly how the coming-back stuff all worked out. I just took advantage.

Yep. Somewhere. Pulled up back home right before I got dumped back into this place. If it ever ends up here, we're pretty much screwed!

Ehh. [ He blows a raspberry. ] Get too hung up on how crappy it is and you just miss the good stuff.

I think it's okay to think about the bad things sometimes.

Sure, yeah. Doesn't hurt to know they're there. I just think if you can't step back and make sure you look for a few good things, you're gonna have a hard time living.

The balance is the hardest part.
