[The sound of a lightsaber is unmistakable. Anakin wields the weapon with ease, running through the techniques in rapid succession. He keeps at it until he is noticeably fatigued. Then he speaks:]

If someone told you that there is a force that connects all things, would you believe them? Do you think there is a higher purpose to this world? Or are some of us stuck here until we lose our minds?

[Is insanity a higher purpose?]

I sometimes wonder if all of this is an exercise in patience. [A quality he lacks. Has always lacked.]

Sure, thanks. [He walks back to his house and sets the communicator down. Fifteen minutes later, he's back, showered and dressed in some clean clothes.]

I'm on my way, Maglor. [And a short time after that message, he will be knocking on the front door of the Elfhouse.]

[ Maglor greets him at the door with a smile ]

Well met, Anakin. Come in! The kettle is boiled.

Action!

[prophesiedone]

[He inclines his head, returning the smile.]

I appreciate it. [Stepping inside, he looks around - out of habit - for enemies or hidden traps. Don't take it personally, Maglor.]

Tea sounds really nice. I don't have it very often.

Action!

[bythewaves]

[ The house looks back at him, and Maglor taps the frame to remind it to behave]

Come in and sit down then, and we will share a cup while we talk.

Action!

[prophesiedone]

[Bring it, house. He'll level you with one of his exceptionally bad moods.]

You've been busy fortifying the house, hm?

[He does take a seat, however, resting his arms on his knees.]

We've taken a lot down, in honesty!

[ Maglor laughs ]

What you see is the leftovers from the Null invasion. But we woke the house, and it's very protective.

Then -

[His eyes widen and he smirks.]

So that's the difference. I knew something was watching me when I walked in.

[ Maglor smiles ]

Aye - it keeps watch for us.

Action!

[prophesiedone]

I'll be on my best behavior!

[He holds up his hands, mock surrendering.]

Action!

[bythewaves]

[ Maglor chuckles as he pours them both tea ]

I'm sure you will. Besides, I don't think you mean harm to us in here, Anakin, and that's the only reason to wake it!

Action!

[prophesiedone]

I don't. [He reaffirms and reaches for the cup meant for him.] I think I'm more of the house's ally? Still, I'm glad you have that kind of security.

Action!

[bythewaves]

So are we! It was hard to waken it however - the stones here are not very responsive.

Action!

[prophesiedone]

All things can be awoken...if they're natural. Stones are just...quiet, sluggish. [He holds out his hand and the tea tray lifts into the air.]

Oh! [ Maglor marvels ]

I'm not Caranthir or Curufin. [ He says ruefully ] I do better with water. But working together... well. The house is awake now. I'm rather pleased that it likes us enough to stay that way.
