[There are two failed attempts at posting this photo, both of which are still sent to everyone: the first is completely dark, and the second is half thumb and half dark red hair. The third's still got some thumb in it, but at least you can see what Lilith's trying to get a picture of. In the tiny crack of an open door is the inside of Lilith's apartment. It's not that trashed, which is great!

You're a goddess. [murmurs Lilith, just short of reverent. She could cry, really.] A breakfast goddess.

[The camera stays pointed at the sleeping creature as Lilith walks backward and out of her apartment.]

I think some guys are coming to help. It's too early [at 1 in the afternoon?] for this shit.

[Oh thank the maker. Maketh exhales sharply.]

Come over when it's done. All right?

I will. [And her luck holds out: Lilith slips out the front door and into the stairwell. As she takes a seat on the stair, she turns the camera around at last.

Her eyes have dark circles, and she's evidently exhausted. In spite of it, there's a tired smile on her face.]

Dude. I had no idea you could drink like that.

[ Third spire! Alright! He's on his way! ]

Yes! I think I can do it! Ah, should I chase it outside?

[Oh good, she's still alive. Maketh would have been--well, she would have acted very disappointed upon your resurrection, Lilith. Maketh smiles just a little.] You're not the first to say that. Think you can make it over to my apartment in one piece, or shall I fetch you?

[She laughs quietly. Sure, this splitting headache makes her wish she were dead in theory, but it'll take more than this to bring her down for good.]

No fetching necessary. I'll make it, and I probably won't even puke in a bush on the way.

[Lilith's already got pancakes restoring her will to live, so she switches on the voice.]

Please. If I kill it in there, I'll wind up blowing my place to bits.

[mismanagement]

[Maketh gives her a little smile.] So long as you don't puke on my carpet, there will be pancakes for you.

Your carpet's safe, promise. See ya as soon as this thing's dealt with, okay?

[Sure enough, she shows up at Maketh's door post-coeurl wrangling. (And post-getting sick in the comfort of her own bathroom, thanks very much.)]

[Despite dealing with a Not Fun hangover of her own, Maketh has pancakes ready when Lilith shows up. And a few other things from cans that somewhat resemble sausage, but are greasy enough that no one really needs to think about their actual contents.

Her hair is down when she opens the door, and Maketh's uniform nowhere to be seen.] Ah, you made it. Come in.

[ He's already at the front of the building, now he just needs to figure out which floor she's at. ]

That sounds amazing.

[pause.]

...Okay, it does sound pretty amazing, but I like that place, so maybe not so great of an idea.

Keep climbing, I heard you come in. I'm outside.

[She's on the third floor, sitting in the stairwell and staring at her front door with a furrowed brow.]

That is understandable.

[ She can't see that he's nodding but he does. ]

[Lilith, on the other hand, has her hair up, for once, even if it's not long enough for more than a short ponytail that sticks out haphazardly. Her worn leather jacket's nowhere to be seen, either: just a plain pink shirt. Hardly the picture of the usual daring bounty hunter.]

I swear I could smell those pancakes cooking a mile away. [she says, smiling, before stepping inside.] Thanks, Maketh. You're a lifesaver.

[Lilith's head is pounding too hard for her to parse that on the first try--what IS this guy omg, she cannot handle sword and sorcery right now--so he won't get an actual response. She's sitting outside her apartment on the third floor, though! Looking somewhat disheveled, but otherwise unharmed.

Damn this guy's tall. She squints up at him, getting to her feet.]
