[It feels like forever since he's made a network post, even though it's really only been about a month. But a lot has happened, and he's going to talk about absolutely none of it.
Instead, there are some pressing issues affecting everyone, and those are more important right now.]
Although this event is distracting, to put it mildly, it might help to focus on something else if possible. We know that we'll soon change locations, and since we have warning we can try to prepare; even if we don't know exactly where we're going to end up, making sure we have enough supplies, clothing, and that sort of thing will help, especially if things go unexpectedly.
[Like there's something wrong when they move, or the gods forgot to warn them about something, or the planet is different from how they remember, or any number of other reasons that might interrupt those in Hadriel's usual abilities to just go scavenge for what they might need.]
So those who are able to do so might consider preparing a little, as well as helping friends and acquaintances who might not be able to do because of the event. Even if you're not interested in looking for or stockpiling anything, those who haven't already should check in on those they know and make sure they're doing alright.
[Considering the range in severity this event.]

[He hesitates for a moment before saying anything else. Adam does not naturally tend to be open about any difficulties he has, but he does trust Lance - but on the other hand, he's pretty sure Lance has a lot on his mind, too.]
Fine, mostly. Stressful right now. I've been afraid of losing the rest of my hearing for awhile, so even though I know it's temporary, it's been pretty bad.
[But he's sure plenty of people are having a much harder time.]
How about you? It seems like you're pretty busy these days.
text
[And he's naturally a night owl, so it's extra weird for him.
He definitely doesn't mind Adam opening up a little, and in fact he's really glad he did. Lance does have a lot on his mind, but he'd much rather know what someone else is dealing with--especially if he can help--than just wonder and worry.]
Yeah, that's understandable. It's kind of the same thing with my voice, for different reasons; it seems like I should feel lucky considering how seriously some of the other people have been affected.
[But he doesn't feel that at all, because the idea of losing his voice--even if logically he knows it's surely temporary--is terrifying.]
Aside from the event though, I'm okay. Just dealing with the same things everyone else is.
[And a few more, but he isn't going over that on the network. Besides, he doesn't want to drag Adam into it.]
text
[It's a casual comment, more or less, but something that it took Adam a long time to really understand. He spent most of his life downplaying the things that happened to him because other people had it worse, because any reaction would be an overreaction. But just because he convinced himself of that doesn't mean it was ever true.
He doubts Lance needs to be told that, but it helps him to remind himself of it.]
Besides, if you can't talk, what happens if you need to call for help? Or warn someone of something? Or if you have a perfect comeback that'll completely wreck some jerk? That's all important.
text
The questions get a small smile, even though it can't be seen, as he replies.]
The first two might be a problem, but I can still totally wreck someone just by looking at them. Everyone here is really lucky that I use my powers for good.
text
[The thought of that makes him laugh - a nice feeling, considering how tense and anxious he's felt since he lost his hearing.]
You'll have to teach me your ways. I could use that kind of power.
