[ thankfully, the partying has finally died down. ciri has actually been able to enjoy some restful sleep in silence without the sudden explosions of fireworks or the deep bass of constant music. she still looks tired but settles the device in a safe place, sitting back with her silver sword in hand and carefully beginning to clean the blade. ]

A lot of us here have powers. Magic, alchemy and other such skills but I find myself curious. Has anyone else suffered having their powers taken from them? I've only had a portion of mine fully removed while the rest has been... dampened, I suppose.

[ she's pretty sure she knows why she was stripped of a portion of her powers. after all, it wouldn't be good if she could just leave this world when they were clearly brought here for some reason. still, she is curious if it was this 'door' or those 'gods' that are the cause. ]

Also: there are those here that wish to learn how to wield a sword, yes? I can help with that if you're serious. I can also teach others how to make bombs and potions. We had many potions back home that proved useful against monsters and other beasts, I am hoping they can prove useful here as well.

I've lost access to whole world of information. My ports were disabled and now I can't talk to any of the tech here.

[ She realizes that this may stir more questions without the proper context. It's fiiiine. ]

[ immediately, her brows furrow. ciri is not so unfamiliar with advanced technology. she has visited several worlds full of it but honestly? she never really had the chance to get used to it all. still, she remembers the world full of people with metal in their heads.

... perhaps this was a similar thing? ]

That's quite something to lose. For me, time and space was nothing. I could travel to different worlds, different times and now it is all lost to me. I'm trapped in this place when I should be able to leave.

I think that is far more of a loss than mine.

[ She's starting to feel more similar than just hair color now. ]

If only I had something like that before, when an A.I. sent me to an alternate reality. Except it couldn't bring us back. It took fourteen years for me to figure it out. I don't think the grounded feeling ever really goes away when you're in the moment. You just have to keep going...

I had been running for a long time. Going from world to world and living in strange places for periods of time.

[ a futuristic city where ships flew, a world of unicorns at its end and an undersea kingdom. each one stuck out in her mind. ]

But I had finally been able to go home, go back to my world and actually stay. To be ripped away from it and to have my powers taken from me? It's infuriates me.

[ Cibo relates. She's trapped now too. Everyone is. ]

Unfortunately we don't know a lot about how we lost them. So it might be a while before we figure out how to get them back.

It sucks.

I'll figure it out somehow. I refuse to rot away in some cave, forced to play to the whims and tantrums of children that calls themselves gods.

[ she makes a noise, somewhere between mad and disgusted. ]

That's putting it nicely.

I definitely understand.

[ Siiigh. She's starting to feel claustrophobic in this expansive, dank cave. ]

Where should we start?

I thought of paying a visit to their temples, asking these gods directly and seeing what answers I can garner.

[ a frown. ] I very much doubt all their answer will be the same. Some might offer more information than others especially concerning this "door" that brought us here.

I'm not entirely sure I trust them at all.

[ Sigh. ]

But you're right. They might be our best option for information. We may just have to weed through the lies...
